I would think someone was filming at the festival but I suppose I will have to just enjoy my memories of the amazing event, til I die. The All Tomorrow's Parties dvd contained no footage from the Ae curated year, if I remember correctly. We need to see Coil and all of the rest! The Skam room needs its own blu-ray release! So epic!

I was at ATP '03 and want to thank you both for putting on such an amazing festival that I will never forget. I remember watching part of Phoenix 2772 on the TV in the chalet and have been searching for a decent copy of that ever since. If there is film footage of that year's fest, we all need to see that. There seems to be no film footage that I can find from that legendary line-up. Love and admiration forever!!!!!
My question is in dealing with reactions to your music since the release of LP5, what do you guys think of reactions to your music like "I don't get it" or "this is isn't music", mostly due to the slightly atonal/arrhythmic/abstract style Autechre is now famous for?
And bonus question(s): Do you guys ever realize what you are doing to your audience at a live show? The extreme psychedelic experience you put us through could have positive reactions like hyper-intelligence, a better outlook on life, and love for all humankind? Is this what we should all strive for as musicians?

And this season has been a fucking trainwreck, except for the scene last ep with the car getting stuck on zombie mounds. Everything else makes me hate this show now. I hope everyone dies and they start with a new cast next season.

Yeah, I don't think I will be seeing it in the theater. Wrong month for a serious rescue hero patriotic propaganda fest.
Instead I watched Mark of the Devil - 6.5/10 - Decent witch hunter film, lots of torture, not enough Udo Kier being Udo-like, way too young and handsome in this film. And I watned him to get in on the torturing, but no. He is the hero. Nice ending.
Raw Meat aka Death Line - 6/10 - preChuds film about London Chuds with Donald Plaeasance cackling the whole time and acting very goofy. Great Catacomb grave montages. Pretty boring. MIND THE DOORS! HIT HIM ON HIS SOFT SPOT!
A Serbian Film - 7.5/10 - I really like this film, music/atmosphere is perfect, and script is ripe with the worst scenes filmed in a larger budget movie ever. Last time I will be watching this. So horribly disgusting. Read spoilers about this one before you see it. You might not want to.

started my Halloween filmathon:
Demon Seed - awesome trippy visuals, naked Julie Christie, decent plot and acting. Pretty boring at times. Proteus is the best demon possessed AI robot ever! Weirdest decapitation scene ever.7/10
Opera by Argento - illogical, dumb, boring film, a few amazing synth tracks. I wanted everyone to die horrible deaths in this. So horribly written. Has some decent shots, no scares. Such an annoying film. Retardgento/10 or 3/10
Cry of the Banshee - one of the most boring of the witch hunter films. Well shot, decent acting with a boring script and no scares. Vincent Price ruined it. He was a shitty actor. Still a more interesting and less annoying film than Opera 5/10
The Exorcist - 40th year Ann ed, I love this film, forever. 10/10

Having read the novel for 2001 and seeing the film many times, I can't relate to thinking it is anything but amazing.

I do try to read your posts, up until the rage begins to swell inside me, then I miss all of the positive notions hidden within.
I don't agree with any comparison to A Space Odyssey. The only thing they have in common is the setting, and that changes in 2001.
Listening to the Gravity score now and it just isn't very melodic. It has a John Williams meets Carpenter meets Richard Devine feel. Very repetitive. Nothing glamorous. Lots of wobbly synth pads. I think it fits what the film is, a minimal survival story.

yeah yeah yeah, Knowing has its moments and Nic Cage should stop taking roles that anyone could play and make the film better instead of worse. Most anyone in his role would have worked better. I do not think it is a classic you wiener. Stalker is a classic. The Shining. Letter from an Unknown Woman. Kwaidan. Night of the Hunter. Gravity, imo, is as well. Knowing is good fun sci-fi horror but not a classic film.

I love tits jiggling as well but zero g film making is something I haven't seen pulled off until now. Zero G porn would be the next logical step for human slime. I am not exaggerating my love for this film but I am indeed a shit bag. I still love you Zaphod even though I hate most of your op ed pieces.
