also bevor es morddrohungen gibt … das wird eher später werden. das album ist nämlich extrem ruhig, fast schon barock in teilen

looks like all my whining posts on the de-bug website helped lol. they don´t want to get death threads so they will play it, but more at the end of the show because the album is so extremely calm and "baroque" in parts. so maybe we have the ae-version of selected ambient works ? jesus, i´m exited!

  2. i get the impression some people haven't given amber much of a chance. otherwise I'd be seeing nothing but praise for it.

it was ok (or even great) for it´s time. not as mindblowing as incunabula but still good. when i listen to it today it reminds me of crappy "chill-out music with singing whales" music.

  3. there´s a radio-show hosted by germany´s leading electronic-music magazines de-bug and groove on radio-fritz. the de-bug peeps wrote that they played stuff from the new ae album last saturday

    http://de-bug.de/musik/5250.html

i could´t find the link on the radio-fritz website so i called them and they gave me this link.

    http://www.fritz.de/Loopstreams/Loopstreams.html

on the bottom of the page click on the "Sonntag Club - Nadine Kreuzahler, Herrmann & Hoffmann"-Icon. This should launch the loopstream. i´m at the office atm so i can´t check it out.

edit: maybe you should also check the "Samstag (saturday) Club" link

  4. Yes, fol4 is a masterpiece for sure. Did you not even like the chunk from Perlence Range 7 where the snares dance around your head like little tiki men with tiki masks and little hawaiin tutus that are short enough that you can see their junk dangling to the beat?

haha, i don´t know exactly which part you mean, but i´m gonna check it out later.

  5. So, basically you want one of them to say he's awesome and the other to say he's responsible for what you perceive as "aimless" and "weak" tracks? Yeah, I'm sure they'll let you know.

nah, of course not. but you cannot deny, that there is a difference these two groups of tracks. i´d just like to know if there are "sean" and "rob" tracks, or if the production process was different (composed and more arranged vs. jam-session songs).

  6. Anyway, realizing that you all seem to know Ae's music back and forth (as do I, admittedly), I do have an interview with Sean Booth coming up, so if you have any burning questions or insights, I'd be interested to see them.

i´d like to know if there are explicit "rob" and "sean" songs on quaristice (and on oversteps). because to me especially on quaristice there were two kind of tracks. on the one hand you have:

    altibizz

    plyPhon

    Simmm

    Tankakern

Fol3 (or better: fol4, fol3`s bigger and better brother)

    Theswere

    Wnsn

which are completely awesome and deep, and on the other hand you have totally different sounding, (and more aimless and imo weaker) tracks like

    The Plc

    Perlence

    90101-5l-l

bnc Castl (not sure about the other tracks)

  7. the ae cycle as seen on watmm:

new album news > faek tracks > insane banter on legitimacy of tracks > real track leaks > insane banter on legitimacy of tracks > album release > insane banter on legitimacy of tracks > banter on how bad the album is > not as good as last album > 2 albums ago was fucking great > 2 years of normal banter > new album news

    haha, that is so true.
