  2. I'm just trying to point out that this place is full of fucking hypocrites sometimes, and no wonder many musicians want to steer well fucking clear of this place. Not trying to say you're a hypocrite, but rather everyone else who is just accepting what you're saying without any evidence to prove it.

Some people just come across as more trustworthy than others. And to me, that's enough reason to feel justified believing pixelives's testimony (as opposed to, let's just say, gl0tch's or Awepittance's). You on the other hand seem more concerned with proving yourself right and others wrong than sharing in the kiosk circlejerk in a spirit of brotherhood. So if people believe pixelives more than you, it's your own fault. Be nicer and I think people will be more prone to take your word on things.

  3. Does Joyrex not want me to give my impressions or talk about it? That seems odd. Does talking about art in an abstract manner qualify as a leak in this day and age?

I think you're totally free to give impressions here. He just doesn't want you to mention or link to download sources for a leak file, which is clear you have no intention of doing. So keep fuckin' that chicken!!

  4. It looks to me like, if JR wanted to restore the reputability of the resources he's been working on, you'd have to split WATMM into two separate sites, one for just general discussion, and then a completely separate site that has the WATMM proper content and just the music-related boards, and hope that you can attain that Onion A.V. Club-level of discourse.

But now I feel like I understand your p.o.v. much better overall. I like WATMM as it is, but seeing your vision for it, I can definitely understand how you feel!

  5. Confield and Draft especially seemed to have more traditional synthesised/source sounds totally morphed/melted until tracks were more musical 'bio-mechanical' organisms. What alien sound design! Apart from V-Pro (with its very recognisable beat sounds), even the percussion kicks and squelches from another living world. From Untilted onwards the sound design seemed far less non-referential and more overtly 'synthy', with Quaristice and then Oversteps being the clearest expression of this. I love those three, but I also miss the days of inhabiting alternate wooden universes as supplied on Draft.

    well-said!
