It works as an atmospheric effect, but if you apply it to EVERYTHING it loses all the crunch and just gets all fuzzy. That's my opinion anyway. Feels very indie, twin peaks and diy though and not so electronic music which I guess is different. And Robotrobot you can't praise your own music because that's a given.
