SCONES TO DIE FOR

Recommended Posts

Midiman was the company that became M-Audio. I was looking through some old magazines from 2001 or so and saw ads for this.

It was promoted everywhere at the time but never came out and I forgot about it. Looked so promising and ahead of its time, since there wasn't much out there in the way of midi controllers at the time.

The pads on the right side were like pressure sensitive ribbon controllers that used fiber optics to transmit midi CC and anything else programmable. Kind of a cool idea, but M-Audio eventually nixed it. I want one.

manipulating 10 different parameters at the same time with your fingers = instant midi crash for sure

midi sucks and isn't fast enough to cope with so much data at the same time

probably why it was never released
