i had some, its ok it tastes liek raw tuna sashimi. also had jellyfish sashimi. im going up to these hotsprings and they give you a "dancing shrimp" dish where you put live shirmps on a hot sizzlin plate and they die. a little sad but good to try. ive also heard about this live sashimi dish here where u cut pieces out of a live flopping fish. so far this is the weirdest stuff i eat here in tokyo

Dude, you have to be fucking joking--chicken sashimi could not exist...at least not in America.

Don't torture those creatures; they have nervous systems too so it's not cool.

MEAT IS NO TREAT FOR THOSE YOU EAT!

my question is: what could a person like petr possibly be doing to support himself in a place like tokyo?

she has a man to do that for her.

lol, I see what you did there--you're making a PETA dig and that's okay. I just don't like the needless stuff. Unfortunately, you have to cut a cow's throat to get a delicious sirloin but make it quick ffs. Sauteeing live shrimp to watch them "dance" i.e. do the fucking crustacean end-times freak-out, just doesn't sit well with me. But I'm a long standing pussy; you can dial up a hundred threads where I talk this.

Don't you work with cadavers for a living?

I've had the raw chicken in Fukuoka. It's ok. Nothing special. tastes like chicken.

Also had the live squid in Japan. Again, it's japanese food, so it's pretty bland.

The live prawn is tasty, I've had that here in Korea. Also the Korean live octopus (infamous from Oldboy) is really delicious if you eat it properly.

can you specify on what part of the chicken that your eating is raw? i live in hiroshima and my wife is japanese, and i just asked her if she ever heard of anyone eating raw chicken in japan, and she said she hadnt. i thought eating raw chicken was deadly?

@xxx: I pretty much hate gore in all its forms, but I love those Youtube videos of people injuring themselves as a result of piss poor judgment.

I also love sashimi. Especially mirugai. God damn.

hmm, its called "Tori-sashi", and its not common apparently. may skip this all together. can i recommend the natto on gohan?

ive had natto on gohan. very nice. -- abotu the part of the chicken, they said it was only a certain part - its not the whole chicken. they just said special part. i dunno what part tho...

That's one of my favorites as well. The thing that makes it absolute divine comedic gold is when the cameraman inquires nonchalantly, "You guys ok?" after they've been wailing and clutching for a bit.

they serve chicken sashimi in NYC nowadays (as of at least a year ago).

i tried it once in osaka years ago. i couldn't tell you what it tasted like because all i could think of is that i'd have to get rushed to the hospital any moment.

P.S. I didn't finish Oldboy because of that scene. I read later that the director used 7 octopi to get that take and he "thanked the" the octopi in an award speach real flippantly to a laughing audience. The audience and the director----cunts, essentially.

I can't wait for the remake of Oldboy for that scene alone. I picture Will Smith biting the head of a live chicken at a waffle house.

Next up: Horse, abalone, whale and fugu sashimi?

I didn't find horse all that delicious to be honest. Abalone is yummy. Whale is yummy. Never tried the fugu.

natto is ass. I don't even think japanese people like natto.
