Chris Moss Acid Posted June 24, 2009 Author Share Posted June 24, 2009 im back on with 2k now.. it seems they did a 2 year cycle and put out a crappy 2k9 because they were working on 2k10, thank fuck.. and by the look of it they are leading the next gen graphics to a hockey game.. here is a ovechkin comparason with 2k and ea Ovechkin has a lot of things going for him here. ktait2 Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 my only care is online play. i play a lot of nhl 09 online and i'm going with a pretty good rank so far. the only problem is the amount of glitch shots that will always go in is ridiculous. if you're playing anyone with a decent rank it's basically going to turn into spending the whole game on defense making sure they can't make the same ridiculous goals over and over again. it's tiresome. i have to give props to ea though in what they have done with the whole ea hockey league. i know a lot of people live and breath the eashl and take it very seriously; ea has been pretty good in keeping up with the community in that respect. ps fuck game trailers that don't show game play. Chris Moss Acid Posted June 24, 2009 Author Share Posted June 24, 2009 yeah the 2k online play was alright by any standards, i got up to world ranking #2 then stopped playing online. coz it used to stress me out, becaus ei had to win everygame, it was like every 3rd period was the last minutes ina stanley cup final if i was level. i might get nhl09 once nhl10 comes out (if it'll drop in price), as i still have the aftertaste of the old EA-nhl games like for the PSz and PS2 which put me off quite abit, and then when i do play the nhl09 demo its not as fun as 2k9, but saying that i really wanna try the be a pro mode, as i love the fifa 09 BAP mode alot. this year i think 2k10 will win the yearly battle. they ought to considering they;ve had 2 years to work on it. but we'll see Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They might have realism in the things they implement, but the entire flow of the game is complete bullshit. It's not hockey. All other major sports in North America have sports sims that are completely realistic to the game (basket, baseball, football) if you change the settings correctly and play it seriously. Hockey games don't. It's impossible to make it that way. So better play NHL94 instead, it's a hundred time better (even than playing it with those controls in NHL09) p.s.: Go habs go.
