Please remember that when I say "old enough" that in England that means 12.

In England the legal age is 16, but most men in England stem from families or mothers that got pregnant at 12, so it's like one of those laws nobody seems to take any notice of.

daughters are encouraged to be married off by 11-12 years in some remote Forest of Dean communities
