Guest hahathhat Posted November 20, 2009 Share Posted November 20, 2009 a while ago i asked about video editing software for PC that was not as bloated as premiere. sony vegas was recommended, and it's better.... but, it still pisses me off. i reverse a bit of video, it can't even play it back live. i got 4 fuckin CPU cores, 2 gigs of ram, a good graphics card, and it can't do a crappy live preview. am i missing something? i want multitrack drag 'n' drop editing with the ability to reverse and speed shift clips. video fx a bonus. seriously... why is this so hard? I think something's wrong there then. I'm able to preview reversed footage on Vegas at a decent frame rate, and my laptop is nearly 5 years old, has only 1 CPU core, 1 gig of RAM, and an OK-ish graphics card. This will enable a secret tab called "Internal" where you can enable preview support for dual core CPUs to speed up things even more. You need to turn to TRUE the option that reads "Enable multi-core rendering for playback". Use this option with caution, might not be very stable.
