popcorn

so i recently got back into making my own popcorn. oh god it's so good. it has to be one of the best snacks (or meals) ever.

 

my secret recipe is based on my mom's. i use soy sauce, brewer's yeast, and a vinegar-based hot sauce (tapatio). so addictive. i barely put down the bowl to post this.

sometimes i'll drizzle tapatio into the bowl but this sounds like a nice elaboration on that.

 

i've thought of getting garlic involved-- maybe just garlic powder.

Funny that I've never imagined popcorn to be with anything else than salt or sugar. Is this a european bias ? Is mixing popcorn with something else typically american ?

if you eat it plain it's a healthy snack. it's also a cheap snack but who can't resist the butter eh?
