Tell me about Egypt

:: double down on a parody thread ::

I thought there was another thread about Egypt, but I couldn't find it.

Can some of you Egyptians give me some insight into some aspects?

What is the culture like? Uptight? Laid back?

Where would be the best place to stay for a prolonged period?

What is the electronic music scene like?

Is it difficult to find a job?

How is the night life?

me and my sister never really came out of my father context the periods we have been living there. i could tell you about playing football with other kids the first time i went there, at that time my father still hadn't made out of the kaliu beya shanty-town. when i growed up a bit i lived in Shobra el-khima, one of the most populated quarters of cairo, thy told me they were six milions only in that zone. very high building north-korean style, not stuff for tourist. nothing really bad happened during my holidays there, extreme poverty is normal to the eyes of everyone. the culture is the one you can afford.

maybe my sister would answer better cos he did have a student life there, i wouldn't reccomed looking for a job there unless you're a stranger, once i went to disco but i didn't like it.
