Kattoo - Motu

2013.jpg

Kattoo is one of those artists that is better classified as a sound engineer than a musician. His music is something of a film told through sound, complex and conflicted, rather than shallow and solely emotional.

Motu is a full experience. Every note comes with intent and purpose, to gently guide or abruptly shove you where the author pleases. Kattoo's characteristic textures and vibrant synths gives the album much relisten value. But as a book which you already know the end to, nothing will ever quite renew the excitement and sense of adventure that occurs on the first listen. So sit back on a quiet evening and give this album your full listening attention - it demands no less.

And please, if you enjoy, consider supporting the artist. Kattoo sells his music at his site for any price of your choosing, and *all money donated goes directly to the artist*. Yes, Kattoo is entirely independent.

Some beautiful sounds. Some interesting combinations. Some things could be better, but -as described in the info above- it's a fun listening experience/dicovery.

Give it a listen.
