UK bass mastermind Anthony Campbell aka Dobie returns to the fray with a classic rooted yet fresh-sounding 3rd album - his first since 2004's 'The Sound Of One Hand Clapping (Version 2.5)' for BBE. Building on his best work with everyone from Soul II Soul, Massive Attack and Bjork, 'We Will Not Harm You' distills elements of 2-step, house, bleep techno, dubstep, and hip hop, all inna proper London style. It's a sound he's been honing for the past 18 months in the studio, taking inspiration from nearly three decades as a DJ and a wealth of under-and-overground industry experience to put his own heavyweight spin on contemporary soul and funk futurism. Highlights run deep from the snake-style tribalism of 'She Moans' to the droning broken beat swerve of 'The Chant', on the Afro-lilting, grimy twitch of 'On The Corner Of Ridley Road' and the timeless, bleepin' jack and swing of 'Blip 124'.

There's some good stuff in here.

Combination of various influences.

Not all tracks are as well executed, but some are pretty damn nice.

Also skip those first tracks. They're a bit boring imo.

Give it a spin.
