  1. Bad Kids Go to Hell - 2/10 hilariously awful horror remake of The Breakfast Club. 2 stars for the cleavage they promised, and the titties they delivered.

In the Mouth of Madness - 10/10 Underrated Carpenter classic, part of his "Apocalypse Trilogy"

  2. Anyone still use a dedicated CD player? Mine went into the closet when I got a DVD player, which then got tossed when I upgraded to blu-ray. Now I have an AirPlay enabled HDMI receiver, so I just usually stream from my phone.

  3. Saving Mr Banks - 8/10 well done drama / biopic on the film adaptation of Mary Poppins. Hanks wasn't in it nearly enough, and Colin Farrell waay too much. a little melodramatic at times, but childhood trauma can come off that way. basically a love letter to Disney & Travers and the impact they had on children in the 20th Century.

My wife got me the new Zelda: Link between worlds game for X-Mas. I'm about 10 hours in, and it's great. Doesn't hurt that it's a spiritual successor of my favorite Zelda game of all time (the SNES one). At first, I thought they were laying on the nostalgia a bit too thickly, but after a little while it becomes pretty clear that this game has it's own mechanics and puzzles, which makes it distinct enough, in my opinion. Plus the tunes are great enough to merit revisiting with orchestral flair. Definitely recommended.

Yeah, it's easily the best Zelda game since Wind Waker.

    FUCKING LOL

Anyone else playing through Super Mario 3D World? Fucking hell, the mystery world levels are hard as shit - now I have go back and get the rest of the stamps and stars before I can open up the last level (the odd sand castle thing).

If you haven't found it yet, there's a ROM of the original Mario Bros (now Luigi Bros) unlockable on the disc.

i think this is broomfield's least interesting film. he's basically running around in circles trying to figure out who is telling the truth betwix heidi fleiss, her ex-boyfriend and madam alex; all of whom are pointing fingers at one another swearing the other party is the dodgy one. if you even remotely give a shit about any of these characters- it's still a tedious bore of a film.

Didn't she end up in porn?

My bad, that was Amy Fisher.

Pretty solid - does what it sets out to do in a well paced manner. V.interesting subject matter.

It's based on a true story of an event that happened at a Kentucky McDonald's Back in the 2000s.
