    jeez Nintendo suspended Swapnote indefinitely because apparently minors were exchanging nude pictures. Thanks for ruining it kids! Lol

    Wow, this could have been an even bigger PR nightmare than I thought, thankfully Nintendo detected this before the media got wind. Can't imagine the impact on 3DS sales it could've had, and right before the holiday season:

     

    - two men have been arrested

    - they were alledgedly performing "improper acts" in hotel rooms with a 12 year-old girl

    - this happened multiple times

    - the men are aged 49 and 36

    - this was facilitated through the 3DS

    - child pornography charges have also been filed against another man, 44

    - he allegedly had an 11 and 12 year old girls send him nude pictures through Swapnote

    - other men have been charged with statutory rape and indecency through compulsion

    that's cool Zaph, my point was basically they went out of the way not to make Mandarin the generic Asian/Chinese stereotype he was in the comics, but into the new generic Arab/Al-Qaeda villains that have taken their place. Yeah U don't upset Asian moviegoers, or the Chinese.

     

    It would be funny if Mandarin had been made North Korean for the flick.

    What pisses me off most with the DC / Marvel worlds is the sheer amount of tie-ins, cross-overs and guest appearances between titles.

     

    I have been reading Swamp Thing and Animal Man, but both feature heavily with Justice League Dark crossovers, Constantine, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and probably more I have forgotten. OK I get that it obviously makes them more money when you need to go out and buy the other cross-over titles to read the rest of the story, but these new titles have only been going 3 years, surely there are enough stories based on the core characters to avoid this?

    combining the Vertigo and DC worlds was the fuck all stupidest thing DC ever did. yeah, because Batman could totally kick Sandman's ass! uh what?

     

    even after that awful Watchmen prequel series, at least they still have their own universe, for now.

    did you actually watch iron man 3?

     

    if anything, since 9/11, hollywood has completely avoided making arabs villains in action films.

    yes, I know he was in Afghanistan, and I am familiar with the different ethnic groups in the Middle East, but to Americans post 9/11 if you've seen one Al-Qaeda, you've seen them all.

     

    and look at the TV footage of Mandarin in Iron Man 3, it looks vaguely Middle Eastern, and they gave Mandarin a very Muslim-looking beard (the persona not the weak ass actor he turned out to be)
