You got old white bread that's completely dried up but not yet moldy? Try this.
You need:
Old dried bread
Olive oil
Garlic
Black pepper
Salt
Heat the oil in a pan. Put in some smashed up garlic and cook for some time. Add sliced dried bread and cook until soft. Add some black pepper and salt. Eat. Best with red wine.

Reading this. It came up somewhere in the AAA if I remember correctly. It's really interesting actually.

Yeah, I like the minimalist graphics and art style in general and pixel art just pushes the right buttons. I really don't care for the sort of hyperrealistic superdetailed 3D HD CGI thing that most FPS's etc have. It makes me feel like I'm watching the fucking Transformers or something.

Been playing Retrocity Rampage DX on 3DS. Stupid fun. Worth the 9 euros.

The world is pretty extensive actually. I've been having all kinds of fun. Hijacked an ice cream van, painted it orange and installed a rocket launcher. Then drove around blasting everything.

Had a short trip to the Netherlands and read Murakami's Sputnik Sweetheart while traveling. Back to the history of mathematics now.

The white Europeans get their fare share of the villains in Lovecraft's stories also. And stories like Rats in the Walls use European ancestry as the source of evil. It's more like he despised the whole mankind and saw the white anglo-saxon rationalism as the savior against threats that keep seeping in from the past, but also that the rationalism would be the final downfall of the humanity. As in a quote from Call of Cthulhu:
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
I think foremost he was a nihilist that saw no hope in the humanity's battle against the uncaring cosmos but also a romanticist that would rather live carefree in his dream world of 19th century England or New England not knowing about the horrors that lurk outside.

I also started reading Pynchon with GR because it has the reputation of being difficult to read.
I probably didn't get half of it but I liked it from the start.

Anybody know some cool gamecube games?
Mario Kart, F-Zero GX, LOZ: Windwaker, Pikmin 1&2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Sunshine

I finished LOZ: A Link Between the Worlds during the holidays. It was ok, but a bit forgettable and too easy. It ended way sooner than I expected.

Yeah, it's a pretty surreal choose your own adventure book with lots of references to other works and real life thrown around. The main character has some pretty hard mental health problems and the story spins out of control lots of times.
Speaking about non-English books, the Finns here might enjoy this book. It's pretty IDMz.
That looks like a beautiful language. Would it be difficult to learn ?
Isn't that where Tolkien derived his Elvish from ?
If you know Estonian or some more obscure Finno-Ugric-languages close to Finnish it might be not very hard. Otherwise it's considered one of the most difficult languages to learn, especially the grammar. Also some of the old vocabulary is probably pretty odd, like "sun"->"aurinko".
Now, if you want to use the word aurinko it might get tricky..
"from the sun" -> "auringosta"
"also from the sun" -> "auringostakin"
"also to our sun" -> "aurinkoommekin"
"not even from our sun" -> "auringostakaammekaan"
etc..
