i thought this was going to be a good movie. i was wrong

check this out. the dead body collection on bandcamp (including the classic 'she was a whore anyway' series)
-
mitch murder killing it (again). this is a tiny ep three (3) tracks of corporate electro funk from an 80s late-night television network (melody of science takes this idea to the next level with a carl sagan commentary). the whole thing sounds like something from 'the running man' where arnie breaks into maria conchita alonso's apartment and is watching that workout cable channel (just funkier)

pretty much tastes like really sweet wine. this one was purchased by the girlfriend swearing "it's the only beer i like" then not drinking it. this is the raspberry flavor and is pretty much liquorice in liquid form with a very thing head

this is crazy good. cold, chilling and menacing experimental music by "children from primary schools. boys and girls from eight, nine, ten and eleven years old" says the stern principal type (who i imagine looks a little like alfred hitch). made betwix the years 1959-1977 it also runs the gamut of a wide spectrum of genres all hands firmly pointing towards meta-weird.
will be tough to beat for my pick of compilation of the year

creatures with one eye (from outer space) crash land on earth and start taking people over (zombie style) in order to buy time whilst they fix their space-ship. protagonist does a serious 'fight club' worthy speech when his main dame is "taken over" by the aliens. 100% sci-fi right here yo!
-
someone's bumping off hotel guests at a couple's resort close to some aztec monuments. one guy thinks he can solve the case, until his dame disappears. he calls santo- the greatest hero of our time. a slow and moody film- unlike the other santo films that focus more on wrestling action.
-
a classic poliziotteschi that contains all the usual ingredients: rape, random and frequent robberies, brutal violence, fast cars, faster motorcycles, hard boiled cops and funky ost.
italy's favorite anti-mafia inspector, berti (maurizio merli), is deputed to naples where (surprisingly) the mafia is having a field day in the city. the clean up is messy- but fun.
i approve of this kind of action
side note: when the italians ran out of steam in cranking these out, the krauts took things into their own hands- downgraded the violence and politics, threw out the funky ost and slowed down the car chases- then cast the dashing horst tappert as inspector derrick to get things down. this time, the clean up was less messy but still fun.

hot chicks cruising around the desert and kicking ass- then robbing an old guy and his sons. brutal stuff action with lots of titalting shots of heaving breasts
r.i.p. tura satana and haji

the ultimate hippy cult mixes pot, lsd, yoga, vegetarian food and psych rock then takes a two year vacation inside the sun's heliosphere with a bunch of chicks, a few vw wagons and a camera to fry their retinas and brains.

legends of atlantis- not sure if the above is the right cover, but it might as well be. a 6-odd hour cookoo history about atlantis- told by a knuckleheaded history channel suit type- with dubbed interviews by conspiracy theorists like erich von daniken. you know what their history is? atlantis was founded by alien gods. you know what their proof is? a bunch of pictures from fantasy comic books.

this movie was bad enough for having mindless direction, but it also made the mistake of trying to make a commentary on today's youth culture and their pursuit of easy rewards from shortcuts through a mindless and repetitive collage of spring breakers partying, drinking and gun barrel fellatio

terrible. a bunch of unlikeable yuppies are stuck in this desperate attempt to remake the evil dead but end up rehashing the memorable scenes from the exorcist. you need to be both brainless and souless to enjoy this.

this seems to have been completely ignored. listening to it right now and honestly not sure how i feel.
i love GB but i really don't like their vocal work (last one was from hintermass) and this one trudges along on the same vein. at time it sounds like something david lynch would do- except the lyrics aren't as interesting or memorable (at least to me).
the production is more in the vein of 'earth lights' from the belbury tales, not just one song, but every song sounds like that. except the last song (remixed by pye audio corner) which is, surprisingly, the best one- because of his style of production with reverb it makes sense to have the vocoded and heavily echoed vocals on top.
overall: not feeling this one

a documentary about the nutters that obsessively collect vhs films. this is kinda like the video nasties documentary that came out a while ago with the exception that it focus' more on the love of discovering odd movies that only came out on vhs as well as reminiscing about certain vhs only qualities like shit picture or pan and scan cropping.
the major downside is that it's technically A LOT of talking heads- the upside is that they're kinda all interesting

Nobody seems to stock it near me, where can I get some?
try your local tap or mountain spring. if you have neither, wait until atmospheric water vapour, trapped in clouds overhead, condenses and precipitates then use a container to gather and consume the precious liquid

I'm watching the rather rubbish 8th season of Dexter (which entertains me quite well!)
yeah. this show has become rather laughable. 2 more episodes and it still hasn't even started to get to anything close of a climax

a glass of h20. if you've never had it, i highly recommend it. perfect thirst quencher and a great hydrant
What TV series are you watching at moment?
