    Fuck it, i won't preorder shit next time. Warp is bullshit. Bleep's a bunch of trendy nothing. Thread's sucking negro cock. The world is fucked. We all are just a phantom pain of the apocalypse.

    its interesting he would bring up Zomby because that's another artist who's amateur sound was mistaken by many as some kind of brilliant invention, when it seemed just sort of at best an 'enlightened amateur' approach.

     

    He compared AFX to Zomby mainly because Actress published famous debut LP "Where Were U In '92?" by Zomby on his own label Werk Discs. Zomby really put this label on a map, only two years after Actress caught his own fame, despite having his first release back in 2004 and debut LP in 2008.

     

    Actress is a fancy word which rhymes with r ess and T ess.

    whatever autechre are doing in these new clips it just puts so many other electronic producers to shame. IT's soaked in a lot of processing and various effects sooooo much better than all these half-assed musicians who just put everything through record crackle filter or bandpass or sonic decimator or fake tape hiss filter. AE wins again. (fuck actress)

    Why the hate towards Actress? The last days I've been listening his three albums on Spotify repeatedly and I really like what I'm hearing. It's definitely a style on its own. Sounds fresh. Why comparing it to AE btw? I don't really see the connection.

     

    I don't hate him, but there is certainly something wrong with the level of worshipping of his releases from hip webzines up to specialist magazines like The Wire. I had listened to a lot of minimal techno and other non-idm electronic stuff back in 00's that had no attention from outside the scenes, and then Actress, sounding like complete and not always inspiring re-hash of those ideas, suddenly has unique style and fresh sound, talking about being opposite to Ae. A couple of years ago he also wrote on his twitter that AFX was god but current Zomby is probably better than AFX.

    What do you want from Joyrex. He doesn't even remember that such album as Untilted existed between D7.30 and Quarterscity.

    If not, the highest this album can get is number 2. Which is still a pretty good position considering that they shift constantly and exai ships with a 0 nostalgia factor. I mean I'm not delusionally hoping that it will sound like anything else they've ever made (nor do I want it to) but I damm.... forget the 'beat fuckery' as everyone so kindly refers to it.. I want mel-o-dee

     

    Let's call it melodic fuck watmm. Google doesn't know such thing yet.
