the online user page shows all of the guests currently on the forum which is... interesting but maybe a bit redundant? edit: nvm there's a very good filter function also missing the who's currently reading this thread section also those tabs that u could get for amount of posts in a thread/latest/first post in a thread etc

I find it interesting how people were saying that capitalism had already won the debate because of the pay to watch stream but there were like 3 youtube streams going at the same time and now the whole thing is on yt for free before official release edit: not to mention that the official livestream page went down midway trough..

I mean.. the whole point of it is to explain how the landscape of "the left" looks like currently and why there is a divide (which there is), edit: ah I see what you mean now - the point of the article is not to call out populism as leftist ideology but rather identify different clusters of leftist thought and what divides them in the world today, one of these uses (or has traditionally used) populism to achieve their political goals - the others don't merge this thread w smartypants thread pls

I'm really disappointed that zizek didn't make this more apparent and especially that he didn't lay out how a communist society would be better in the specifics, I guess he assumes people know the tired criticisms of capitalism? I mean is apparent from what jordan thinks and from the crowds reaction that this simplified vulgar form of marxism is what most people think marxism is. (edit: maybe not "most people", but u get what I mean)
