    hell yes, devo are (were) amazing. in devo-obsessed periods in my past, i've also thought about them de-volving over the years, and whether they planned that, or just became shit. i know they just become shit like most bands do, but it fits nicely. i would also mention mark mothersbaugh's emergence as a hot childs-program composer in that de-evolution. great, great live band, unbelievably tight. edit: i still recall as a child the surreal moment that was seeing them in a honda scooter ad, and around the same time them on saturday morning television talking about their energy domes protecting them from beams from space or something. one of few bands to make a huge impact on me at various times in my life. amazing:

    i had a double whopper with cheese last week for the first time in years (and after spending the last few months eating like a healthy bird), and it was amazing. i ate it too fast though.

    for some reason i stopped mid-way through "the waste lands" back in 1992, and just recently started the entire "dark tower" series over again, and am thoroughly into it. the integration of characters from other king novels seems like a gimmick to me at this point, but so far it hasn't detracted from the story, so i'm okay with it. "wizard and glass" was epic.

    i'm pretty sure i have strep throat from either my daughter's daycare, people i work with, or both. my local clinic has no appointments open, so i have to go to "urgent care", which will cost me an extra $25.

    considering your penchant for walkin' and fartin', this is bad news hahaha oh geez. so true :( anyway, in my apartment hunt, i was in the middle of viewing a nice and comfy 1BR apartment in bushwick for $1500/month. somebody put a deposit on the apartment WHILE i was viewing it, effectively taking it off the market. gahdamn nyc is insane. every time i see numbers like that for something like a 1 bedroom, i'm astounded. first world problem=high rent that comes with living in an in-demand area
