Which edition did you order, Caretstik? I didn't realise until earlier this evening that the one I have is limited to 2000 copies. And has even more stickers!
"Limited edition of 2000 copies. Comes in a spot-gloss debossed sleeve with an individual cardsleeve insert for each disc. Rear of outer sleeve has a sticker with full track listing. Also includes OBI, a four-panel sticker sheet, and an additional insert with Japanese liner notes."
I ordered the 'limited first edition' as well. Turns out I've got to pay an additional ransom of £18 to Her Bastard Majesty's Customs and Extortion. Oh well, still excited about picking this up later. Plus at least the bonus track is more than the customary two-minute noise fart, and I have a definite fetish for obi strips.

Looks like I'm facing an extra customs charge for the Japanese CD as well (not for the first bastard time) judging by the tracking status from Parcel Force. Like it hasn't cost enough already. Hope S+R appreciate this.

Vinyl turned up Friday morning, still no CD, I ordered them together as well. It's going to pain me to unwrap it later today, if I do I suppose I should finally do the same with the Ufabulum vinyl as well. Got the shipping notification for the Japanese CD Saturday morning.

And speaking of Batman, no love for this?
I think everyone loves Arkham Asylum.
Get the Absolute edition if you can, includes the full, original script by Morrison, full of references that you probably didn't get or just didn't make it to the final book
That version is one of the best Christmas presents I ever got a few years ago. I also got the very first UK hardback edition when it came out, subsequently 'lent' it to a now cunt of an ex along with my Year One and Dark Knight Returns, never to be seen again. Some lessons really hurt.
Anyway, I'm also keen on getting these:
One day I'll finally read Maus as well, shame on me.

SInce getting the Unearthing boxset recently I've had big Alan Moore renaissance. I though the Century books were decent, my fave being 1969 for the references to Performance and obscure Avengers characters. Black Dossier was superb though, can't beat Jeeves and Wooster Vs Cthulhu.
Recently picked up this, not found the right time to read it yet:

The talk of Scary Monsters reminds me of those Chu-Bops (had to google to remember their name) things knocking about in the early 80s, basically a 3" circular piece of pink chewing gum in a miniature album sleeve. I remember getting Scary Monsters and, for some reason lost in the mists of time, Neil Diamond's The Jazz Singer. Wish I'd bought a few and kept them mint and unchewed.
Tangential bollocks aside, I agree that Scary Monsters is an awesome album, listening to it again right now thanks to this thread.

Same, Sketches and Spells is my fave Ghost Box release I think. But I'll lap up the revised Let Loose, plus the Pye Corner Audio album when it comes.
-
Forgot Surfer Rosa by Pixies. And Nomeansno's Wrong, fucking awesome album. Plus the first three Echo and The Bunnymen albums and The Teardrop Explodes albums.
-
I still don't understand why they cut the MBM remix in half. If it was to do with space on the CD then any number of drossy fillers could've been omitted instead.

Trawling through Spotify and I can't find a version of 'Don't Make Me Over' that fully satisfies me.
-
I downloaded the first two albums just because they were free, and I liked them a lot more than I expected to, especially the second one. I'll pick up Visions when I can be arsed, it's always nice to find a new artist on 4AD I actually like.
Is she genuinely a Dune geek or did she just google most of the Geidi Primes titles?
EDIT: this thread made me put Geidi Primes on again. It reminds me of how I imagined Jodorowsky's Dune would've ended up.

Nothing too exciting, just got this for the sake of having it after all these years:

Seems to me that there shouldnt be a funny pics thread as no one seems to laugh at others post anymore its just a secretly selected few that get the desired response of a lol from the watmm secret society members.
Were all animals are equal some seem to be more equal than others attitude.
I hear ya.
Am glad someone does, The lols are fadeing away more and more since theres others analyzing every picture if its funny or not, Weres the lol in that exactly
I think of the funny pics thread as the funny pages in a newspaper, Were as others look upon it as some sort of failed funny art gallery
True.
It doesn't help that pics that SOME people find funny are removed by the moderators etc because they don't find it funny.

Yep, Agreed
awwww look at them... having a conversation.
Ah, keltoi, please don't join the grown-up WATMMer exodus.

I've just bought some new shelves but they won't make themselves so I'll have to get off my arse and assemble them.

'Humanoid: Sessions 84-88' is an awesome archive of earlier-than-early acid Techno by FSOL frontman Brian Dougans. Rephlex put it out in 2003...

Nice spot, forgot about this album. If it's not too obvious, the Snowman mix of Stakker Humanoid is mindblowing.

There you go, nice one kaini. Although I would've been glad to share it as well.
Boring aside: I only found recently that Patrick Allen had done the original narration for the Protect and Survive PIF. As a kid I thought he'd done it specifically for Two Tribes.

did anyone ever grab this?
Protect & Survive - Music For Your Domestic Nuclear Shelter
Yes, and it's really good.
-
I always see the cover as a scarecrow and a bit of broccoli (and I have two CDs and the vinyl).
-
Well I liked Cylobotnia even if noone else did.
And the two Vibert / Simmonds albums are ace.

I scored better on this than my Voight-Kampff test.
