whatever you do, stay away from the cheaper alesis units. they're noisy as all fuck.
The Alesis Nanoverb is alright. The reverb itself is kind of sketchy, and it's like 18 bit or something weird, but the delay is actually really cool.

My favorite anime series is Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Berzerk as a close second. Though I just don't understand the ending to Berzerk at all. I have some of the manga, and it goes more in depth, but I haven't gotten to the end yet to see if anything is explained more.
I hear Claymore is really good, though.
