    Good Industrial music that you can recommend

    Old vs. new discussion is weird.

     

    Any genre or style of music generally starts out exciting, then reaches a peak of innovation as people take it to new heights quickly, and then after that for years and years it becomes diminishing returns as it gets more watered down and limited as people impose invisible rules on it.

     

    But if you think newer always = better, and old is for old people... you need to look at the whole history of it to get the best parts.

    So it finally happened.  I had an arp going with a bit of reverb on it (industrial sounding bass and rock drums also), and the wife says "Is that a bit of Stranger Things influence I hear in there?"

     

    Had to explain why I had a frowny-face.

    I really enjoyed this show.  Saw it before all the talk about it started.

     

    It's just a good show I think?  I don't really understand the hyping up, or the de-hyping that is going on either.  I just enjoyed it as a piece of entertainment, and then moved on.  Musicians got really excited because there were 80s synths in it?  But I hear those all over the place anyway.  I dunno.  I imagine it must be a burden not being able to let go and just enjoy stuff.

    Please let the rest of the album be in a similar vein. The vocals, Ryan's drumming, that meandering solo. Yet another side to Devin that I've never heard before.

     

    I was just coming to post that.  I think he said they actually wrote that as a band?  Good for him actually opening up the writing process like that so far into his career and trying something different.
