Love that tune to death, although I always considered Gemini to be more House than anything.
Huerco S. vibes on that one, it's great. He's Chicago House for sure, but he did blur the lines quite a bit. Shame he didn't release more music.

Does anybody own a Playdate? Is it worth getting? I would like one, but it's 250€ in Europe after shipping and taxes, so a bit more than an impulse purchase.

Passion, his soundtrack for The Last Temptation of Christ is incredible.

I thought this deserved a thread, and to share some of his music. Lee was one of the founders of FatCat Records (The shop, which spawned the label). He was instrumental in bringing the Detroit sound to the UK and influencing many other artists. He released records on Irdial, Fatcat, Plink Plonk, Peacefrog, Fragmented, B12, Delsin and his own 10th Planet and Fortun8 labels under several aliases, most notably In Sync and Insync vs Mysteron (with Chris Hartley & David Manuel).

QuoteThe plates are cleared away and the bill comes, so I wrap up by blowing smoke up Minter's arse with a comparison I've always had in my mind between him and Aphex Twin, another eccentric enthusiast who's dedicated their lives to their own brand of out there art. "He still owes me a fiver!" says Minter, who's also a massive fan. "He was interviewed in the NME years ago, back in the 90s sometime, and was asked what his favourite video game was - and he said it was Llamatron! But I don't remember ever having seen a sales registration from a Richard D. James…"

Is it much harder than 2d metroids?
I don't think so. This is my first time playing it, I didn't own a Gamecube and didn't play Trilogy on the Wii, so can't say how tough it gets. It certainly is a 3d Metroid experience with all the backtracking and upgrading to access new areas that the games are known for.

Metroid Prime Remastered. It's really good, looks great and plays much nicer with the dual sticks. God I love Metroid.
