    mother fucking blighttown...

Dark Souls? Those fucking mosquitoes are probably cause of many an anal prolapse of rage

Yeah, also narrow walkways above fatal drops... I've been making a run through in anticipation of Bloodborne.

    ah nice

tried to do a low SL run of Dark Souls 2 in preperation myself but it just reminded me what a hollow experience it was compared to the first game. all previews of bloodborne are sounding good though, I am excited.

  2. EM sensitivity is such a BS thing. There have been experiments that has shown that it's all made-up by loonies. The sequence where he braves himself outside with his space blanket was hilarious.

Didn't Chuck become aware of Saul's phone in his trouser pockets as he came home drunk, with no reason to believe it was in there?

Been turning on Sleepbot pretty frequently lately. Still one of the best ways to find out about awesome, obscure ambient music. They even have a built-in google search function for the current track. Bountiful good vibes from this corner of the internet. http://www.sleepbot.com/ambience/broadcast/

Also, I'll hop on board the Celer hypetrain. Phoenomenal music. Capri is one of my favorite albums.

Thanks for the tip re: sleepbot.

Seen some love for Celar - any more recommendations? From anyone....

Sadha is probably my favourite, the entire Black Vinyl series is great, Engaged Touches and Capri are also lovely.

  4. Not a huge fan of Badminton but always had a fondness for Moonglow, agree more jazzy/blues breakcore would be amazing. Ended up giving him a little bit more than a buck a track, but would love to have some of his older work repressed.

oh and do check out the older digital releases on his bandcamp, he has a few unreleased tunes thrown in with some of them.

LOL at “This track’s going out for the mud”

So many LOLs in that: Salmon Valley, heard it on the stereo of a Cabriolet, The Viking Posse - they were my descendants,

    Epic trolling.

For people unaware, that Viking story is actually true, he ranted between tracks at the Norway Quarterfest, good fun to listen to.

Yeah and lol at Salmon Valley :dadjoke:

is that the same set where you can hear "this is my last track then I'm fucking off" before Come to Daddy?

This whole saga has left me on the edge, I don't know whether to crave more releases or settle for what we have.

28 Organ.... n_______n my gf said that it was 'nice' (melodies) but not something she would listen to. That's an accomplishment in my books!

yeah I mean i dont what so start some gender discussion but i seems his rougher, metallic 90´s stuff he uploaded ( the first 90 tracks ) is mostly for men ears ?

does someone know girls who listen to ventolin or 73 yips ? just curious

My girlfriend put me on to Ben Frost's latest album, I reckon that's almost more menacing than RDJ's industrialish stuff.

Yeah I'd agree. I saw Ben play Aurora live and it was so loud that it caused me to hallucinate.

i heard he started bringing actual guitar amp stacks on stage with him, was that one of those shows?someone told me he was using a lot of clever guitar vst amp trickery to get by before that, sounded convincing though

I convinced the gf to see Ben Frost for his Aurora tour as well, but she also agreed to go to Venetian Snares, she puts up with a lot from my music. She seemed to enjoy them, but in general she has positive comments for softer music (They were playing Grouper's latest album pre-show which she really liked).

Ben Frost is definitely a lot more "menacing" then RDJ's industrial, but Ben has a very "nuclear post-apocalypse" vibe about it. I can't really put Richs harsh stuff into words... But Ventolin and Theory of Machines are just two quite different creatures.

  7. I've barely scratched the surface of Coil's work but I adore what I've heard. Astral Disaster is probably one of my favourite albums by them, but I need to explore more.

I agree with some of the sentiment people here have of buying Coil stuff after Peter and Johnn's deaths. I'd love to own some of this stuff but just feel like I'm lining the pockets of some collector, no thanks. I guess that's what results in the paradox of being successfully esoteric or "industrial", if that makes sense?

  8.

just curious to hear from anyone who was into this music back then.

I wasn't but Genesis P'Orridge has always struck me as a bit of a gobshite attention-seeker. Seems pretty implausible that he 'invented' or consciously defined techno and/or acid house.

    Pretty much this.

I can't speak with first-hand experience but I don't think a single person in the UK has attributed GPO or Psychic TV with the invention of acid house or house music as a whole... aside from GPO. I seem to recall reading a blog post by William Bennett of Whitehouse fame slamming GPO for claiming it, as well.

  9. for the tenth time !!!!

35 Japan is completely changing me, i wont be the same now

i never heard any track that gives this post-apocalyptic nostalgia and romance all over, like Matrix the final when Neo lost his eyes (SORRY SPOILER)

i'm going through so many state of minds, i haven't felt that since Vordhosbn or Alberto Balsalm

yeah it's bloody lovely, not sure I'm having quite the same religious experience you are, but easily one of my favourite tracks from the dump. No idea how I missed it as one of his remixes before.

  10.

I'm so glad I'm too hearing damaged to hear that high pitched tinnitus pressure sound that's in "Floating∞" that my younger friends say they can here, LOL! #oldhearingrocks

it's riiight on the edge of my hearing range, just barely audible... i'm only 18 and my ears are already shit. thanks noise music :cisfor:

merzbow should branch out into the hearing aid business
