  1. Last time I checked everyone here hated on Expanse... And now it seems to be the best thing.
  2. !!!! Don't get your hopes up too high, it's really not a metal album at all. It does, however feature more electric guitar and Glammer Hammer, for instance, gets pretty heavy and sludgy post-rockish. To an extent that Swans came to mind, it would be a crazy good collaboration, at this point of both bands' careers.
  3. I'm pretty confident nobody can top this. As for the moonbase photo year, I'd say something like '88
  4. Abbath's solo album is pretty decent! Also, I like Jesu/Sun Kil Moon. And Ulver's new album has some metal-ish moments even!
  5. Never walked out in cinema, but I did quit a few movies at home. Snowpiercer, for instance. "Trudno byt bogom" was a real challenge to endure in cinema though.
  6. That's the exact problem I'm having. Unexpectedly losing my job and failing a new job application after over a month of interviews and tests didn't help with that at all.
  7. Too bad about The Expanse, was panning on watching it next. How about Fortitude, anybody seen it?
  8. Carrying on your lolita theme - try The Babysitter, Wild Things, Boxing Helena and both Lolita's. just saw The Babysitter - made 20 years ago .... the main actress the babysitter was Alicia Silverstone who's the daughter of the singer of aerosmith, and her father was a co-producer of the movie if I'm not mistaken ... when I saw the credits I start to wonder if even a rock singer with a reputation of being or having been a depraved junkie would have his daugher to play a psycho bitch or a dirty sick slut .... but she was a good girl who just happened to be an object of male desires ... the movie interestingly was showing the desires in the fantasy sequences all the time ... usually teh fantasy sequences were triggered by the surroundings, what was present but not always, it looked like once there was even an shared fantasy and once the fantasy was flowing in to real events in another place ... making it a non realist account ... it didn't resolve as clearly distinct reality and personal, subjective individual psychological thing .... there was no evil sick people in it, the escalation of the drama wasn't maybe set up convincingly but I'd say it was quite allright movie .... You got the girls mixed up, that's Liv Tyler. Alicia Silverstone was the other girl in Aerosmith's "Crazy" video, alongside Liv. I saw The Martian - I really liked it, I though it was really well made. A really entertaining watch!
  9. Btw, I don't think anybody mentioned Elder - Lore, as far as 2015 highlights are concerned.
  10. didn't the scene where the japanese diplomat guy travelled into our timeline happen a lot earlier in the book, and it happened to the antique shop guy in the book as well. I can't actually remember how the book ended though, it's been a while since I read it. I thought it was ok, didn't mind most of the characters, aside from the nazi spy guy and the boyfriend who both annoyed me for some reason. rufus sewell was quite good I thought, and his nazi mate. and I liked the design of the show. was alright. Yeah, the boyfriend and the nazi spy guy annoyed me the most. The design was allright, I'll admit to that.
  11. So, the man in the high castle... I thought this was going to be made off the book, but it wasn't really. I didn't enjoy it very much, some of the characters were really annoying. Well, actually most of the main ones. Also, didn't expect there's going to be more, I don't think I'm up for it.
