The transaction fees go to discovered new block rewards, that is, to miners. You say you're actually arguing against the idea of currency, okay, that's another thing then. I agree with you that it's really sad how humanity is capable of corrupting everything that can be corrupted. Bitcoin isn't perfect, but it's much less corruptable than traditional fiat currencies. I think what bothers you the most is, getting rich with mining or buying and holding bitcoin. That is not what bitcoin is (should be) about. You could argue that this is the problem, that that's exactly what it's got to be about. Bitcoin should be about making value exchange more fair and free. Right now things are happening that make you forget that, but I see it as a phase in transition to a better future. But as I don't really believe in a better future, it's still interesting to behold a thing that at least seems to have the power to better it.

Oh, and about the value of bitcoin itself, the (only) value it has is that it's a very safe, reliable and efficient means of transferring value. That's surely worth something, to you too, I presume.

I politely invite you to learn more about bitcoin. It's really nothing like ping pong balls and there is huge value in a computer solving an extremely complex set of equations. I'll let you decide for yourself whether you want to investigate more, but in short: - it's not like pingpong balls, because BTC can change hands instantly across the globe (or even outside our planet) with zero danger of falsification, plus they are more practical physically. - these solved equations are in fact used to sign transactions, which makes the system completely decentralized - that means no need for a "bank", or some other "trustworthy" authority.

Yeah I've cashed some to get the Korg Volcas. Ordered them from thomann.de, still haven't got them and right now they're worth well over a grand each.

What the hell are you talking about? Selling is not an issue, it's INSTANT. Look at the buy walls at all the exchanges, you know the price wouldn't be going up if the demand wasn't bigger than supply.

Upstream color. Just saw this at a film festival. I have rated a movie 1 out of 5, first time in my life. This movie is really not good. I also hated the new Takashi Miike. Fuckin stupid hippie movies, what a waste of time!

dunno i only recently started on whisky recc me some Ardbeg Uigeadail. Even the standard Ardbeg 10yo is delicious. Whiskys from the island of Islay are smokey and salty, be prepared for something different. Not for strawberry vodka fans.

Favorite Islay scotch? Also, tac Lacora is amazing, my favorite autechre track in like 10 years!

What I really can't get over are the facial expressions. I have NEVER seen anyone gurning tin real life he way these actors do. I know it's not just BSG's problem, but what the fuck? Person A: "Hey, I really think you should be paying more attention and stay more focused during the space fight..." Person B: says nothing, just looks away with this incredibly stupid and artificial face. or Person C: "I love you, but you'll just have to decide between me and her!" Person D: exactly the same reaction! Says nothing and looks away with a retarded grimace. I don't know what to make of it. I just can't wrap my head around why this stupid trope needs to be in a scifi series.

The second season was already bad enough to quit. Not sure why I didn't. Anyways, I'm not going back, that's for sure. What a stinky little piece of shit series!

I'm on sick leave for the week and I've been watching Battlestar Galactica for the first time. And as of this moment, I'm done with it. How the fuck did I think this was quality sci-fi?? The first season was quite good. Okay maybe not exactly good but definitely bearable. But somehow in second season all the characters turn into retarded teenagers, trapped in bodies of grown-ups. I could barely stand it. You know the twilight movies? The faces those kids are pulling? It's like that, but even more ridiculous. I caught myself actually rolling my eyes, in response to characters on screen. While watching Battlestar Galactica at home, alone! Then I put on the third season and wow, it was able to turn for worse! I'm quitting this worthless, pathetic, disapointing piece of shit, right NOW!

...NEW Agalloch?! nah
-
I aint' never heard of Sadhaka...but i'll have to trust you that they're better than Agalloch?!...to be honest tho, i've heard they're not very good live. It was amazing, the gig was totally DIY, in an illegal squat, they are touring europe by themselves (not even a van driver)...Check out their album on bandcamp: http://sadhaka108.bandcamp.com/album/terma-2

Agalloch are playing here tomorrow. But I'm going to see Sadhaka instead, can't wait! Sadhaka is basically Fauna plus two of the girls from Vradiazei. Yay, good times - and this is just weeks after Fell Voices and Ash Borer! Also, just got home from seeing Bell Witch + Samothrace. It was great, Bell Witch didn't really impress me that much, but Samothrace were really really good. Recommended!
