Does the act of someone’s net worth plummeting make an actual sound?

If so, then for Elon Musk it would be the thonk of a metal ball splintering the purportedly unbreakable glass of his long-awaited cybertruck.

Thursday’s unveiling of Tesla’s latest electric vehicle hit a snag when the company’s chief designer smashed the vehicle’s windows while attempting to demonstrate their durability. Tesla’s share price subsequently plummeted 6%, bringing Musk’s personal net worth down by $768m in a single day, according to Forbes.

  3. agree with the above. can't escape the feeling that he sometimes really does see what he wants to see. regardless, what an effort. almost worth watching just for the sake of watching somebody putting this much work into something.

    also (spoiler alert):

having trouble grappling with the idea that twin peaks was destroyed by cooper (us, the audience?) and diane (twin peaks) having sex and ultimately never existed. rewatched the last bit but didn't get any wiser. anybody understand what he meant? in writing this i'm thinking he means that the real, unspoiled twin peaks never existed as it was meant to, but that doesn't really do it for me

the country was founded by freemasons.  that's all that needs to be said.

i guess it's a religious country if you consider freemasonry and general satanism to be a religion.  if that's what you mean, then yes, america is VERY religious.

you've got to be kidding--what kind of essentialist bullshit is that. are you saying things can't change? is every country founded by religious leaders (i.e. every single country) by definition then a religious country? makes zero sense.

why do you even feel the need to oppose yourself to this? patriotism? pride? it's really not your fault your country is the way it is. oh well, i suppose i'm just falling for the bait

Death Stranding will be divisive. There will be the Kojima-stans who defend its every design decision, claiming that anybody who dares criticize the game is incapable of understanding the unparalleled brilliance of its creator. There will also be those who condemn this game, calling it a work of pretentious fraudulence.

The reality is that Death Stranding is neither a masterpiece nor a failure. It's a fairly average but ambitious experience, elevated by the enthusiasm and eccentricity of its creator. As frustrating a creative work as it often is, there's no doubting that it's an earnest one.
