  1. Pretty sure 0.01% of posts are complaining about the track and the other 99.99% are people complaining about people complaining about the track.

It's a fantastic track that would be 10000000X better if it still had this bit

That's now been Merlined out of existence. It's like burning books

The fun never stops on pootube

Vid has been around for over 18 months, 57k views... and still gets nuked. Uploader changed the vid name to include T69 Collapse, but it will have been pinched on the audio copyright detection, as per usual. Had vids pulled in a similar fashion, years after upload. The site continues to be a garbage fire.

  2. This is a great interview, probably the best one for NTS era...

"A lot of your titles have the word “casual” in them. What’s that all about?

RB: Just catalog shelf stuff. Like specimen books all have different sub-categories and sub-sub-categories and sub-sub-sub-categories and then feels and flavors that seem to exhibit similar traits. Maybe they’re just traits, easy for us to earmark with a bit more color than a filename.

SB: They’re more like folder names. It’s fucking real difficult to explain exactly what we mean by them. We know. If Rob says, “I’ve got some more casuals here, do you want them,” I’ll know exactly what he means. But I can’t put into words what it is.

RB: Some of them have got nine of those types of things. There’s a few “idles,” a few “casuals,” a few “heavies.”

    Like tags, almost."

    GOT ANY CASUALS, M8?  :emotawesomepm9:

"How far back does this material go?

SB: I think the oldest thing is from 2011. But that was just an archive of the jam that became “bladelores,” which is on Exai [from 2013]. Then there are a couple of things from in between that and elseq 1-5 [from 2016]. The rest is weird recent jams using old patches. But it gets difficult, because the system itself is getting on a bit. It’s about eight years old now. It gets a bit hazy in terms of what’s a musical idea and what’s a piece of technology. If you make a sequencer that only makes one type of sequence, and you’ve used it twice, then I guess you’ve used the same musical idea twice."

"Five from the top, three from the bottom

but only two from the middle."

... take a guess at the locations in which the tracks were recorded. five overall, three recorded in cornwall, two in london. might also relate to the locations shown in the video?

it got me thinking of the countdown numbers round

    Ooh rachel riley

Well, possibly...but he's an old-timer, so he's probably more intae Carol Vordermanhosbn..?

T69 collapse song length is 5:23

    Noice spot  :ok:

Heh, the bleep picture of the vinyl clearly shows a record that looks like it has seven tracks on the one side. I know they just used a stand-in because they don’t have the real ones yet but it made me laugh, given earlier speculation about this being a secret album.

I also spotted that someone got busy with the potatoshop

Please don't post 5 times per page. I understand youre very excited and giddy and have lots of exclusives that are freely available on the Web but try to keep tabs on how much you're posting. Scrolling through it can be a chore.

There will be 2 CD editions for Japan - regular and limited. Fairly certain the regular will be a standard digipak with the limited being a card recreation of the vinyl sleeve like previous Japanese Aphex EPs. Not much deviation from the domestic releases beyond the inevitable obi strip and sticker thrown in, but can also confirm no bonus tracks.

    Doesn't even look like they're giving a sticker :/

Every release I got from Beat Records in the past had a little sumthin extra, but none of the Japanese outlets mention anything.

Beatink product page states sticker included with domestic edition

  8. Boshed together a personal 'hi-res' version of the vid using source 1080 and the 24bit wavular. Shame about the pootube compression mashing the visuals, but some part of me thinks that might have been intentional lo-fi. That aside, it slurps like one luvly AV muthafukka.

    - monolithic 'chre release ("the last album was too short")

    - divisive Oneohtrix album bizness (and fancy live shows)

    - hysteria-fulled new aphex out of nowhere (just like ol' times)

Warp has been a good egg in 2018. Only thing left to top it off would be them remembering Boards of Canada are still on the roster (?) but perhaps they'll keep them stashed away until the focus turns to nostalgic reflection in the year of Warp30.

I also would like to know what Squarepusher has to offer tbh. If he steps ups his game from his last release, shit might get intense.

Ooh yeah, that as well  :squarepusher_logo:
