physical copies (at least for customers in the UK) generally end up having their copy posted out to them so that it arrives with them either on release day, or on some occasions a few days before. and nope, there wasn't a leak. edit: ahh yeah I forgot about the whole japanese thing

Still running my 320's I'm going to wait for the dust to settle to DL my real wavs. I wouldn't be surprised about the itunes handling. I was actually just going to DL the 16bits anyway just to save some space... Gotcha. My recommendation for anyone with iTunes is 16bit wav or 320 kbps MP3, nothing more or nothing less. I also take back my original statement about this feeling like Draft abstraction on Quaristice hardware For whatever reason, 24bit wavs in iTunes on a Mac makes this sound unmastered and without a balanced EQ. you don't think it could be that you're using one of the shittiest programs to listen to your music on? I mean, I'm not completely ruling out that there could be a fuck up with the files, but at least try listening to them with something a bit better than iTunes? I'm open to suggestions on the Mac. VLC

I think they did. On the contrary... MBV will announce the new record tonight and will release it and it will sell more copies in 10 minutes that Exai will sell in a month and Exai has been announced for several weeks with hints of it coming out from TDR seven months ago. Point being, old school is for old fools.... discs and promos and bullshit random bloggers are for weinies. I think you're forgetting that Kevin has been saying it's gonna come out for years. Since at least 2008.

Why the hate towards Actress? The last days I've been listening his three albums on Spotify repeatedly and I really like what I'm hearing. It's definitely a style on its own. Sounds fresh. Why comparing it to AE btw? I don't really see the connection. Other than that Actress mentions Autechre in interviews I agree; apples and oranges. Actress The way I approach music is much more from a sculptural perspective. You build algorithms. You can layer those algorithms so they become marble-like. Autechre do the complete opposite to what I do. You can see the axis, you can feel what they’re rotating around certain things. What I do is the same but I smudge it completely, so you can feel the axis but you can’t get that clarity of where it is. lol contradicting statement is contradicting.

clearly they do appreciate what Joyrex does here, otherwise he wouldn't have a promo copy to listen to exactly. also maybe taking a bit of the heat off of me? I hipped them to the fact I was doing this the other day. they were impressed but thought I was crazy and didn't think it was a bad thing. I think they're a bit scared of WATMM TBH. Also my guy was unaware of all this hullabaloo before I told him. sorry for the doubts, but since you were apparently nothing to do with journalism, it was perplexing why you would receive a promo copy. but then when you mentioned about having done stuff for Warp, and now with Joyrex's corroborating your claim by receiving a copy himself, it's a bit easier to swallow.

in all fairness, Joyrex does a lot for Warp just by keeping this sweet prince called WATMM alive. if WATMM isn't promo, I don't know what is.
