  1. got a job with the council as an apprentice software developer but they use all the microsoft powerautomate lowcode/nocode stuff. bit of a letdown for me because im more in to the actual programming side of things.

truly a first world problem though as theyve provided me with a brand new laptop and im mostly working from home. ?‍♂️

that's not what he does.  he use a computer w/renoise for a master clock but that's it.

Oh I see. I bloody love that song. The other ones he uploaded are great too.

Thanks for your answer. Still not sure I fully understand how everything works with eachother (especially in the snares videos). Is everything basically synced to the machinedrum?

  3. I know there are various ways of doing it. Like I know Ceephax obviously does most of his stuff completely live.

What other ways does everyone create full songs using their hardware?

Do you use sequencers? Control hardware via a DAW like vsnares?

I always just end up making repetitive patterns which I fuck about with for a bit and get bored. How do I go from that to actually composing a full track?

Cheers for any replies in advance

My friends and I all had tickets to a concert this weekend for a band & DJs we’ve know since high school, was gonna be the first time we’ve all seen each other since COVID. But crazy rain has moved the gig inside, during a Delta surge in Florida, with lowering vax rates, twentysomethings unmasked and unvaxxed, in an enclosed space for 12 hours, so we all decided to cancel. Yay Florida ?

sensible. I recently caught covid. Luckily I have a mild case. The main sympton for me is extreme fatigue

I still get confused when people have to have that OG sound. It's about having fun isn't it? Like I'd love to have a RE-303 but at the same time I don't have the money for it, especially not at the moment. So I can either convince myself I need a RE unit.. or have fun adjusting my behringer 303's VCF, playing with the sequencer, making wholesome acid arrangements.. and at that point I'd wager I'm having more fun than a lot of people chasing the original hardware

    I agree. I bloody love my TD3

Yeah unfortunately this is a authentic reissue of an iconic synth so the used prices are what they are, doubt you will get a better deal from anywhere else, unless some fool is just selling theirs without checking prices first. ?

Fair enough. I'll probably just have to go for the ms-1 then.

Is this going to be your first hardware synth ?

Thoman has a new for only 30 euro more but i guess u knew that already.

I feel like 400 is alot for what that synth has to offer?
Why not go for the behringer version which is alot cheaper.

Not really my first but I'd say my first 'proper' one as it were. I have 3 of the volcas and a behringer td3. Maybe I will end up going for the behringer, but the fact you cant chain patterns really turns me off of the idea.

Sold my Roland SH-101 about 15 years ago for about $500. Needed some money quick to pay for car accident repairs. I miss it constantly, and the prices these days for it meant I really undersold a solid investment!

Ah well, Behringer MS-101 here I come.

Been looking at that Behringer recently but it only has a 32 step sequencer which is a bit naff. The SH-01A is more expensive but has polyphony and a 100 step sequencer. You can also power it by batteries which is quite cool

  9. The last B-Stock SH-01A has just been sold on thomann before I had a chance to nab it. Am on apprentice wage atm so it would be cool if someone is willing to sell me a used one for a decent price. Around 250-260 would be wicked
