On my machine, which is in BST, I think the counter will zero at Jul 20, 2017 16:02:03.478 BST which is 3:02pm GMT.Does anyone know the exact time it goes live tomorrow? Wasn't it 5:02pm GMT or something?
But then again, i'm not sure how timezones work in website scripts,
the timezone isn't specified in the code, which could mean that the counter looks the same in every timezone - i.e. it might zero 11 hours earlier than that in New Zealand.
I confirmed the timer is definitely different in different time zones.

I'm gonna speculate that they focused more on the dramatic/character aspects and didn't have enough Star Wars atmosphere on screen to please the producers. Gotta have enough vehicles, weapons, and random side characters to sell toys.

Yeah I like the idea that the spacier characters are basically sleeper cells for the White Lodge for when shit goes down. Whether Lynch would do something that straightforward with them or not is another matter.
