Man this new season of True Detective is really good. Glad they got Lynch to direct.
I kid. Really enjoying thus far but does have a different feel.

The Arrival.
I had managed to supress my memory of that film, but it all came rushing back to me now. It's truly terrible.
Holy fuck this. Sweaty Charlie Sheen/10

Batteries Not Included?

Maybe his plan all along was to protract the remaining content he had in mind for it to an agonizing degree to discourage any future discussions of reviving the story.

That's just Dave Bautista with glasses on.

Interrupting Tire says what?

Frost's contributions definitely feel like that kind of thing (Secret History is full of UFO and Masons conspiracies and Native American curses) but with Lynch directing I'm hoping for more enigmatic and atmospheric overtones.

Pretty funny watching the Dems singing and waving goodbye to the Reps after the vote.

Bad CGI, N64 lighting, cramped faux tDR text. BRILLIANT

I'm pretty sure he's headed towards the video game thread with some new Nintendo products.

Big budget films will be like that for the foreseeable future. The days of a movie just being a movie are over. As people actively thwart the usual ad channels, advertisers will find increasingly ingratiating and insidious means of reaching eyeballs.
I'm pretty sure Rubin is one such means.

Would Superman struggle with the xenomorphs at all? He can fly, they can't. Maybe the acid might get on his cape a bit as he slaughters them with eye beams.

I really do hope that it's David wiping out all humans and engineers and leaving planets infested with giant hordes of xenomorphs, smiling at his work, then going back to dribbling a basketball aboard a ship cruising through the galaxies.

it's odd but tbh maybe it's a sort of conceptual thing, building a weird fake narrative/persona..? Just acting it out.. otoh, probably the majority of his fans would take these stories at face value so dunno.. it's maybe a bit clever and may develop further in possibly interesting ways. or he's just a jackass“I was in a particularly destructive mood at the time,” he says, pausing for a moment as the restaurant’s pianist begins another perfunctory recital. “But I’ve a tendency for that. I used to record to mini-disc a lot, and I remember once, during a particularly frustrating period where I was on the verge of finding a voice to carry my music, I just thought ‘fuck this’ and left a bag of them on the back of a bus.” The memory makes him laugh, and he wonders out loud who may have come across them.[/size]
i hate this. self mythologizing musicians are the worst. i can barely stomach it when richard does it but i tolerate that because his music is superior. just make music and get on with it.
edit: essentially what auxien said
Actress...acting it out
