Autechre reach their 11th album release with this lengthy body of work - clocking a sizeable 2 hours and 32 seconds. 'Exai' gives Rob and Sean time to express exactly what Autechre have been about over the years; moods drift between abstract and ornate and rhythms dart from being metronomic to satisfyingly complex. Hard to put into words, this 'consolidation' of the Autechre 'sound' is one of their finest and most ambitious achievements.

bleep.com zipped the files fine when i first posted my thread about it being available, took about 10 seconds. i think it got overloaded slightly. warp need more file mirrors methinks, or however this stuff works

to be honest i dont remember the exact context, it was a couple of days ago. like i say, i'll buy it tomorrow sometime and post quotes/the whole thing. someone putting the new meshuggah album on yousendit might persuade me, seeing as bit torrent kills my router for some reason... :embrassed:

speaking of the wire, the issue with the quaristice review is out now. i've read it but haven't bought it yet, most likely will tomorrow, and if i can be arsed i might type it up for y'all. pretty positive review, though they do note a lack of progression.
