  1. We've been talking about things like that, but there's no reason to take things to the extreme. For now, people just need to remember that you have to give some to get some, and they don't then their threads will be closed.
  2. i wanna know this too. Because of piracy and when you build your city, the cities around your city, which can be controlled by other players, become your suppliers of various materials (TVs, minerals, power, water, etc.).
  3. Fun fact - My house plant is named Leo Johnson after the state he becomes ('New shoes') during the second series. lol
  4. Though it's always really interesting to look things up that might explain a Lynchian universe, I think you need to keep in mind that Lynch doesn't spend a lot of time thinking about the stuff he does. I was reading a couple of pages here and there in my "Lynch on Lynch" book and I stumbled upon this great conversation: Interviewer: "Many scenes in your films feature the failure of electricity: the faulty neons in the autopsy room in Twin Peaks; the buzzing light fittings in Dorothy Vallen's apartment block in Blue Velvet, for example. Electrical currents also seem to announce imminent danger or revelation, as in the stroblight effect you use constantly in Twin Peaks. Lynch: Right, exactly, right. Exactly. And what it means, I don't know. But as Lynch has said before, whatever the audience is left thinking after having watched Twin Peaks or a Lynch movie is, according to Lynch, correct. this is partly true and partly not. lynch doesn't spend time thinking about how to be lynch (or the great things he does) but he does know why he has strobing lights and what they mean to him. the thing is, if he told the interviewer what they meant, then that's it. nobody will look at those strobing lights or electricity failure in any other way. That's true. He never gives anyone any answers, but I think a lot of the time he just follows in intuition... not that I have any way of knowing this, but it's my guess.
  5. Now you're just being silly. If EA had said, "fuck our customers" everytime they had released a game they probably wouldn't be around anymore.
  6. That would be awesome because the next 4 weeks I'll be knee deep in my master thesis and work. Thanks, man!
  7. Yeah, it's all this "Boo! Fuck you, big company! If you make a wrong move we'll trample all over your shit!" which is just extremely childish.

  9. And that folks, is why you don't trust Metacritic - EA is either buying off the reviewers or Metacritic... or both. I think the whole thing is a bit silly. Like always gamers have a tendency to overreact. Sure, EA miscalculated... or actually, they didn't, because there's no way to stress test the servers in a way that will be anywhere close to what the real launch will be like. Just calm down, read a book or something and come back when they've fixed the problem.
  10. Sorry, I'm a bit out of the loop at the moment due to work and school. Which threads are you talking about?
  11. In all honesty, I think Lynch just set up all these weird situations just to fuck with people. But...
  12. You're getting paid for it, right? What a dumb thing to say and that's not the point of it.
  13. such is life Yeah, I guess I should have learned that by now. It just never ceases to amaze me how how little people care. it's not all people. chalk it up to luck, i guess. once in a while, you will find someone like yourself! Yeah, you're right. I guess it's just one of those days... such is life Yeah, I guess I should have learned that by now. It just never ceases to amaze me how how little people care. If you ever need my help let me know. I got you. Alright, be at the office at 9:15 tomorrow morning.

  15. I toil and moil for people when they ask for my help, but as soon as I ask them something they shit all over me.
