I wish members' profile pages would have a pull-down menu to indicate if they are vampires.

Love the first half of this, which for some reason sounds to me like a warm winter day in Côte-des-Neiges, back when my little sister thought putting ketchup in her ice cream was a good idea.

This briefly came out first as a digital only last, happy to see it’s got a proper release. It’s great stuff, and my favorite release of his. (Satin Doll is nice too, melted Hassell-ish sax and canicular beats, but the loose loop-sketchs / soundcloud-dump-feel of this collection wins me over. I put on Alto Voices on loop more times than I dare to admit.)
Edit : Uh, I compared and last year’s version has 15 more tracks, and a different tracklist?

Can we do it again? I blinked.

Not really, classic IDM wasn’t very identity centered, apart from Aphex Twin’s trolling presentation, which I’m sure some academics could recontextualize as some sort of “queering” lol. They do play a huge role in newer experimental electronic circles though.
Yeah, «classic IDM» and its surrounding discourse feels pointedly apolitical compared to, say, the industrial music it partly came from, or today’s tape labels. Stuff like the Anti EP or, I dunno, One Very Important Thought really feel like rare, almost polite exceptions to the norm.

Calimero (that track with Brigitte Fontaine) is a favorite.

Genuine lol at the orch5 stab at the very start.
Otherwise I concur :

This or Lemonade was always my favorite Sophie track, wasnt too fussed with the album. Does anyone know if they ever released that live track with the lyrics about sucking cock in nightclub cloakrooms? That one was great too.

Only in dreams.
That being said, I could really go for un éclair au chocolat or two right now.

Wait a minute... have I been listening to the CvJ/Freescha split at the wrong speed all this time?

Some titles not previously mentioned that alleviated this hellish year:
- Hiele — Mélodie 2020
- Maria Teriaeva — Conservatory of Flowers
- Sam Mendel's dump
- YlangYlang — Interplay
- that Deerhoof covers/mashup thing of half of my favorite songs ever
- Klô Pelgag — Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs (that one isn’t very watmm-like)
- Mohammad Reza Mortazavi & Burnt Friedman — YEK 2
and some timely reissues:

I’m firmly in the fuck google camp, even if as a paying member I get spared the billboards. But that doesn’t mean I expect someone else to pay for that.
One thing I’d love to be part of the discussion is ways to actually lower the hosting costs. How much of the bandwidth is "downloads" vs actual forum? And of that, how much of the database callups could be shedded off with a stripped down theme, one that doesn’t contain all the gizmos, stats and such a non-suscriber (and even more so a bot) couldn’t care about? Set as a default, wouldn’t it alleviate the load somewhat?

Finally took the time to rip this and split it into tracks. Fantastic release; the A side is nothing short of stellar.
