Really? It sounded good, I was planning on reading this fairly soon.
Any reason why you didn't like it?
i didn't like the way it was written (kinda simplistic) and it didn't leave me with any thought-provoking ideas or feelings. it was too unfocused for me to appreciate, i guess, because it did have some good ideas, they just weren't developed enough...
it's worth a read if you like vietnam stories.
same here, but it's cause i get really nervous, i start trembling. i have a social phobia or something. and you know what helps with that? xanax. get yourself some xanax.
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
I've also been trying to finish Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but I'm having trouble. Too much schoolwork.
Also, recently read The Turn of the Screw. Hated it. The language wasn't difficult, but it was boring as shit to read about a neurotic babysitter.
i know that some countries may use global warming to push an agenda, god knows they do it for every other issue out there... but do most you guys really think that global warming does not exist, at all, as a consequence of human pollution? i find that strange. it seems like such an obvious conclusion to me. i mean, just look at the hole in the ozone from cfcs. our environment is pretty fragile and it seems like we're polluting it enough to tip it into dangerous territory.
why does that sound so far-fetched to most of you?
they're just talking about a small group of scientists being douchebags. so i'd hardly say that "a lot" of climate research has been kicked to the curb.
i think this is a bit of an overreaction. maybe the scientists in the emails were just joking for the most part? i mean, one did say that he wanted to beat up a climate change denialist... that doesn't seem all too serious to me.
