  1. not really interesting enough for its own topic but I thought I'd mention how Mike/Aaron must trade samples back and forth because definitely - *bleep-bleep-bleep* sound on Grape Nut Beats 2 + Aanguish from Meathole, and speculation - Meinheld has the choir sample from/direct rip of? Suffocate from WITBOAS also various jamaican people vocals
  2. I haven't noticed game soundtracks since like the playstation. But within that I love some of the strange timbres that have arisen because of necessity/dodgy audio quality. Also listening to that Pictionary soundtrack, all sorts of weird arrpeggios. Like you beat the level/bonus stage. We hereby reward you with bizarre sounds

  4. lol while this topic is active I already thought Last Step tracks Portoghese = Lisbon Acid, Seafoam Green = obviously Crying in Your Face, 61 Disco = Fenix Funk 5, and possibly Sonic Blue = Scirem, but now I also think Shoreline Gold = AFX Acid 4
  5. I always thought it was 'ready? yeah' too
  6. yeah I like when it turns all transparent and shit and sucks into itself
  7. I guess Drukqs is supposed to be the most IMPENETRABLE album of rdj's but I think some tracks/moments on rdj album are much more bizarre. I don't think Fingerbib is that bad to be on the same overrated level as Alberto Balsalm, I heard the albums out of order and I thought Alberto was going to be another Fingerbib or something and was disappointed. Also Yellow Calx doesn't really fit but isn't that the point. only calx track that really makes sense with the rest of the album is Blue Calx. I always figured the effect was something akin to a warp pipe/bonus stage of the album - temporary segue from the sound of the rest of the album. But yeah Fingerbib is ok imo, tracks like that and Peek numbernumbernumber are just so out there these tracks really cemented the idea for me that RDJ could make tracks with a feel completely unlike each other/anything else. When they get into that "zone" I forgive if it isn't really the best made track. Kind of like the burnt/semi-burnt/soggy french fries you hope to get some for the experience and take the risk of leaving a bad taste in your mouth. 26 Mixes isn't really that great but almost every track has that feel, and they're all from these different periods/eras, when I first got it I was overwhelmed where to even start. Even some of the tracks from Girl/Boy are pretty good, stuff like Redruth mix though is just so generic richard becoming a parody of himself sort of feel that made Come to Daddy/Windowlicker a little annoying. I don't really like 4 to me that's the overrated track of the album. Girl/Boy does the majestic sort of feel a lot better I think also Fingerbib = Fingerbobs http://www.thechestnut.com/finger.htm didn't somebody on this forum mention that? I found out some way or another

  9. some of these covers are pretty future
  10. pretty much every track on SoSW is a good idea but about 4 minutes too long Iketa is awesome too I totally forgot about it and everyone seems to just like Quino-Phec anyway I mean it's good but it seems like a SAWII leftover to me also Portreath Harbour makes the rest of the album sound kind of shit
  11. those bits in In The Maze Park and Bodmin 3, 2 where it sort of fools my brain I'm listening to a real instrument for a split second really all of the Bodmins
