  1. I always thought it was just Luke processing his voice weirdly.
  2. And some Amen Andrews material. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C84wtN0L1A4 Babylon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIKZNDJQe44 Fast and Bulbous
  3. Luke cut it up damn fine to make searching the lyrics hard. To actually articulate the two songs... My Romance - here Down with Love - Your own post here And as you can see in here they did both of those songs. Another one - The second drum loop that comes in over the Apache Break in Sorry I Make You Lush is Orange Krush - Action.
  4. Oh and the strings and horns in Shadows are from 007 and Counting from the Moonraker soundtrack, and the vocals from a song called Spare Some Love. I forget the band name. Damn you not being able to edit.
  5. I think it's high time we had a thread like this. First off, This site has a whole lot of things, mostly from spoken word samples. I'm not going to list them all but you might want to read through it. Next, the relatively few I have spotted that aren't just common breaks, to my knowledge: The opening bassline of Funky Acid Stuff - Honky Tonk Popcorn by Bill Doggett The "get down and wreck shit" line from Reedin' - The Session by The Roots The "we interrupt this program of dance music" from My Style - War Of the Worlds by Orson Welles The "step up front" from Registarse - Bumpin' Bus Stop, don't know who it's by but I've heard that sample elsewhere The "please mr groove" and "can you feel it" from Sparky is a Retard - Mr. Groove and Can You Feel It. Thank you google. The vocals in A Fine Line are from The King's Singers doing two covers. I think the beginning of Memory Towel is from Buffalo Girls.
  6. Can anybody link some examples of the Machinedrum being used well? It's been a goal of mine to own an awesome drum machine, and now I have enough money for such things I've been looking at this since it seems to be the superior synthesizing drum machine (as opposed to sample based ones) but neither do I want to waste my money.
  7. I had a dream where Autechre was proving how much more awesome they were than anybody. First, they played a jaunty little synth melody. This was the "normal" version. Then they played three or four random notes. This was the awesome Autechre version.
