  1. I agree with those who love it.... and i thinks its very replayable as mentioned.........subtle echos, snippets, vocals, feelings, furtive glances, moments. I think the mood they captured ..... decay, encroachment, man vs nature etc is amazing.

I think the hype was well executed and have found memories of being a a part of it as a I enjoyed the ride.

  2. I think that from time to time, but aside from lyff acid, I don't really get that vibe anywhere else. The actual composition of the tracks don't feel as complete as either artist normally makes their stuff. Sometimes Steinvord makes fairly cheesy stuff. The tracks for the most part don't feel complete. Like there's a really awesome buildup, breakdown, but then it kind of devolves into nothing. Then the track will just switch completely. It weird but because of that the tracks feel like sweet demos half of the time. I still do listen of Steinvord a lot though.

Yeh I'm with Brisbot on this....it all very superficially sounds like TJ or maybe RDJ but there's this missing can't-put-my-finger-on-it "magic" that only TJ has (had?!)... If it is them. they weren't stoned enough :)

Hey Autechre, I posted a pretty long one earlier, wouldn’t blame you if you skipped the whole thing so I’ll make it more succinct (feel a bit cheeky doing this as a new member) :

Would you guys consider coming back to Belfast and/or Dublin? (I know it’s not Russia or the southern states but the closer the better!). I saw you here (Belfast) back on the Untilted tour, can’t remember much of it tho but saw you again in London for the Oversteps tour, won’t be forgetting that one, was incredible.

Missed you down in Dublin last time and was going to ask how the sound was cos I had been to a show at the same venue a couple of months previous and it was really bad but I’ve just watched a youtube audience recording of it, and from what I can tell, it sounds pretty good, also I can hear tuinorizn towards the end of that set. Was that track something you had developed from the live set for the album or had you been working on it after the ‘main’ tour had finished?

    Favourite Kool Keith-related record?

It's also great to see that my fav musicians are showing no signs of slowing down :) Cheers for the music

was it at temple bar? played there a few times, i thought it was alright in soundcheck but that place changes a lot when it's full, so i dunno

yeah it kind of grew out of the live set

    err matthew

Well this is my recording from upstairs of the Temple Bar set.. sounds great to me.

Sean, Rob.... PLEASE say high to my italian friind Guliamo who is mad for you guys and is "yay" ing all over this recording.... he'd fucking die...

In fact can you name his first child?

I find a lot of my fave tracks of yours are somewhat melancholic... say like V-Proc......

Is it just me or or would you say you are creating this feeling in some tracks on purpose?

Vproc is way more upbeat to me actually, its got a slower swagger so as not to be annoyingly percy. but ur meant to bust out to it.

Well i defo nod my head to it when driving and its up full blast....................i guess the vocally synths seem sort of sad to me... in a good way. Like a future AI machine lamenting the destruction of its makers but to a beat!

    Bootlegs:

Squarepusher Alive in Japan/Liquid Room, Aphex Twin DJ sets

    Props or nots?

    i'd rather be there

Me too and often am, but do you listen to live bootlegs:

    1) of yourselves?

    2) of other warp acts - BoC, >[ ] or 7\?

    3) anyone else?

I often feel while the sound quality might not be great, the vibe is undo-able in a studio setting and even the shitty sound lends itself to a certain ambiance - but thank jebus for your soundboards all the same :)

  6. Re the 07 sets............... LOVE the "au-te-chre" rising vocal near the start. It's so perfect................. How did it come about? an Improv moment by one of you or a conscious banging way to start a gig?

Its no secret Aphex and Squrepusher are rated similarily with yourselves ......and they have done the same thing, sort of. Coincidence? A nod to that?

  7. The hembsy pontins set sounds like the Glasgow arts-chool set (2007) but put through an "autechreizor"........I mean its more twisted and glitchier.

Was this a sound system thing. hardware thing or both?

..............and do you listen to your past live shows like "we do"?

I drive an hour to work each way every day and your sets are bloody perfect especially on a cold winters evening!
