Hi Autechre, your music has defined my past 10 years of electronic enjoyment and helped me escape trance music clubbing. Tru facts!
Thanks for agreeing to do AAA, so far it has been very exciting to read your thoughts and really cements you as proper top geezers.
Here's my question.
Do you actively enjoy the live tours and festival gigs, or would you prefer to stay locked up in the studio making sounds?
In terms of UK festivals I cannot really see a specific festival that autechre could play at now. With the demise of Bloc and Glade over the past few years, UK electronic festivals seem to be in a pretty shit state.
On a side note, there is a great little club in Oxford called The Bully, I really think you should do a gig there. Hoofing soundsystem, and its basically a dark back room of a pub.
Cheers thanks

While you wait patiently (nervously?) for news, here is a trance remix to tide you over.

I assume this is an "official" remix given the video footage used.

The vinyl feels a little flimsy and no inner sleeve so expecting a bit of scuffing there.
yeah, packaging is a bit weird. more like only an inner sleeve; it's smaller than a regular 12'' sleeve.
the tracks are awesome though
Does it fit inside the Exai sleeve?
THAT would be awesome, and would make me purchase the 12".
Tested. Seems to fit.
Brilliant. Will purchase.

Maybe i'll try watching it again.
I want to watch The Hobbit first though, I remember enjoying that for being exactly what I needed at the time - glorious adventure film that looked brilliant and was easy on the mind (even if about 45 minutes too long).

What pisses me off most with the DC / Marvel worlds is the sheer amount of tie-ins, cross-overs and guest appearances between titles.
I have been reading Swamp Thing and Animal Man, but both feature heavily with Justice League Dark crossovers, Constantine, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and probably more I have forgotten. OK I get that it obviously makes them more money when you need to go out and buy the other cross-over titles to read the rest of the story, but these new titles have only been going 3 years, surely there are enough stories based on the core characters to avoid this?

This forum seems to be full of kids that like to shit on everything now.
I just like to shit on things that seem like a bad idea from the outset (insert hollywood blockbuster sequel / prequel here), and then look forward to being proven wrong some day.

It's just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will.
fuck you. die in a fire.
Herein lies the problem.
They have no story, but a shitload of budget. Going about it the wrong way again....

i love England, all my family are here and its a pretty sound place to live. Some of my friends have jumped ship to Oz and nz and they all seem to love it, but my heart is here in the cotswolds.

Catching up on Walking Dead season 3,

Great series so far this!

I bet stoya can twerk like a pro
-
he chcukled.
-
Ok so I picked up season 3 from e-bay, cheaper than getting Sky (can watch on demand). Will probably start watching this week.
-
sounds like i should probably listen to this.
-
really the show is just mindless entertainment.
And as long as I am still mindlessly entertained, I look forward to watching some more.
-
So series 4 is nearly upon us, and I still haven't watched ANY of series 3. Keep meaning to get the boxed set.
I only just realised that its been shown in the UK on channel 5 and they are on episode 16 now
Anyways, glad its not been axed yet. They did that with 4400 just as it was getting good.

At the time, producer Andrew Kosove said it was unlikely Ford would return in his role as Rick Deckard.
"In no way do I speak for Ridley Scott, but if you're asking me will this movie have anything to do with Harrison Ford? The answer is no.
"This is a total reinvention, and in my mind that means doing everything fresh, including casting."
I envisage a Frodo in "The Hobbit" style intro with Deckard mincing around his appartment looking glumly at photos of his youthful self and lamenting days gone by as he voiceover's the rest of the movie.....
$ickening.

still not listening to any samples / previews.

Is this out yet?

I have a theory.
The brothers (foolishly?) decided to drop a few bombs of ketamine on a visit to the seaside. As they came out of the trip they discovered that they had spent the last 2 days in a cave with some seagulls, beach crabs, David Bellamy and a BBC film crew.
Rob had left his field recorder on for the duration of the trip, and the contents of the recording became known amongst the higher IDM circles as the "K-Event".
Someone from Warp records got hot of the recording and really liked it, but decided to rename it "L-event" fearing a review backlash from The Daily Mail. They also paulstretched it up 500% as 48 hours of squawking and squelching was too much even for hardened fans of Perlence subrange 6-36.
End of theory.

i had an iriver before my sansa which was great, especially its line in record function, letting me record my dj mixes straight from the mixer, and at good quality too.
-
i too have a sansa player, works great. Hope it lasts forever.

Have you considered releasing a remix compilation and what do you think of the bootleg Laxir compilation thats all over the net? I for one would prefer good quality versions of all of these tracks. A 7-CD box in a similar vein to the EPs box a couple of years ago would make me gush.
