louie is truly fascinating. i can see, that many people don't like the over the top aids/piss/fuck-humour (ricky gervais is a very funny cunt though) , but there is something very troubling and sad stuff in there. the "bully" episode was so real and unsettling and the moment his younger daughter tells him, she likes to be with her mom more and he gives her the finger after her back...a lot of pain and humiliation. deep stuff.

just started watching "louie" and it's pretty great. something like michel houellebecq doing a series about his life as a comedian. love it so far.

just watched true detective. Matthew McConaughey is the man. great, characters, great writing. wow. besides that, complete curb and complete seinfeld for 5th or 6th time. next thing is fargo.

WATMM is pretty much the Aphex Twin official website if you look at the forum topics. It's literally the place of all places for Aphex fans to congregate.
Posting negatively about Aphex Twin can't really be interpreted as anything but an attention starved troll attempt, or at best not very thought out.
The proper thing to do is if you think an Aphex release is cheesy is to make parody songs about it until you love it.

i havent heard syro yet, but listening to this extremely dated sounding old and derrivative (spell correct that pls) track, i can guarantee that syro will sound by far more mature and original.
my dear fellow watmm'er: don't make yourself sound stupid. if you haven't heard syro, how can you "guarantee" that it will sound whatever. fanboy attitude gone bad. don't do this again.

heard it three times now and it doesn't work for me. not at all. i think the whole thing is a complete mess. to me it sounds like he was fiddleling around without having the slightest idea where to go with these tracks. i like minipops, the metz-thing (is the live version faster? not sure) and the piano piece. 180db is funny and likeable, it sounds silly, playful and completely idiotic. a good joke, not a good track. papat4 starts off great but destroys itself on the way. syro has its short funky moments, but the rest is so random and messy. i really hope this album was the last part of this anal/tussy phase. i love the guy, but... 4/10

actually i did. never had any probs "getting" his music. didn't like drukqs, the analords or tuss. i really hope he will move in a (completely) different direction.
having said that: i'm sure i will listen to syro more often than boc's TH.

Less than a week! I can't listen to this track enough! I wake up in the middle of the night with it in my head. I love Aphex! I'm so excited. I've checked this god-4-saken website everyday for fucking YEARS with NO news and we're so close! Holy Shit! Oh my god! Anybody else feel like this everyday? Can't wait to hear that METZ track in HD glory! My speakers and headphones have no idea what they are about to be put through! Fanboy I am! BRING IT ALREADY!
