as mentioned in the other thread, track 3 doesn't sound like ae to me at all.
twels: the stuttery crunchy sound design and the bassline, and most definitely the end part have strong ae vibes imo.
true, it's a bit more simple structured than usual, could be a really quick toplel spliffy-smokey jam... the pitch-modulated things that come up in the mid part seem a bit sloppy maybe, this is one sign where I'd say it might be someone else. but I'll go with this being deliberate ae sidetracking. I like it no matter who made this tho.
but srsly twels just must be in reference to twelb. TWELB
i agree + even if it would be a jam it would probably have a twisted structure, like the four recently published jams.
second listen here and I don't believe it can be Autechre anymore.
But yeah, whatever

Only took about FIFTEEN albums but the colundi sequence is finally getting some well deserved press. Interview with Aleksi on RA:
Perälä was keen to share his discoveries, demonstrating on his site how he constructed a series of equal temperament scales, dividing the octave into an increasing number of equally spaced steps.
Sorry to be that guy, but I'd be able to take all the Colundi-talk more seriously if AP actually understood how equal temperament works.
what do you mean exactly?

Winshluss' Pinochio looks really really good, can't wait to get a hold of it
what did you think about it? Never talked with someone disliking it and I feel alone in that camp. I bought it several years ago because I liked the aesthetic and it won a big prize. then I read it and couldn't really appreciate, I thought it's no more than a patchwork of really dirty things happening one after the other but I couldn't find any line in it. I thought it was superficial and was pretty disappointed about it

is it actually known here where this symbol comes from?

This dude creates his own instruments and makes music with them:
Here's his bandcamp:
thanks to share that one! love the philosophy behind it

lolz. was pretty obvious to me tbh, there's something to your music which I directly associate with high end quality $$$ comedy. Must be sometimes hard to stand being so much talented both with acting and braindance making... Congrats

Latest addition to the studio, 100% DIY. Incredible piece of hardware, has definitely more taste than the industrial stuff.

Just listened to the two previously posted tracks and I love that stuff. It seems to take roots in some music I love but it also sounds so unique.. I love the mixing, sounds natural, balanced, it breathes. . .
At this point I'd like to confess that I was convinced you were RDJ at some point after you posted a certain track which despite one or two things had imo a real Aphex feel (just checked the track commented by Encym, that's the one). Kind of ashamed I PMed you at that time for that reason. In retrospective and given all the new or unreleased music he's been dropping it doesn't make that much sense anymore to me but anyways, just wanting to write that now because I thought it might amuse you.
Any more info about this release? Please let us know sooner or later, looking forward to it.

Yeah even Renoise has enough for a lifetime, especially with a field recorder.

It's not a video but Ed DMX made a studio session podcast where he explains and demonstrate how he makes tracks in his studio (MPC1000 -i think- sequencing several synths and drum machines, all mixed analogue). It's well made and it doesn't matter that there's no video imo :
good if you're interested in no-computer setups.

nice picz. from when is the autechre's one?
i found it on watmm earlier and thought this is from 1994-5, won't find exact post now.
1994-1996 i guess
ok. I wonder how it looks like now but it has to be pretty epic

would love to see all those top voted acidy tracks on a single release, they would go great together. My only worry about ranking all the tracks like this is when they eventually come out they might be compiled more as 'comps' rather than themed selections that sound like the same style or era.
very true, not sure where this massive vote thing will lead.
great site anyway. Already considered a shuffle all tracks option? That could help diving into this huge selection with a fresh state of mind.

Despite those soundcloud messages I also still think it's a collab project involving at least RDJ and TJ, depending on the tracks.
until proven otherwise

wow, this guy seems talented. does he make comics?

Quadraverb Plus and Quadraverb 2 seems to be different though. too late now but i'll make further search tomorrow
-
I'm looking for a Quadraverb (vanilla) but might be able to go for a Quadraverb 2 for the same price. did some of you could compare those two reverbs? according to a quick internet search Q2 should be cleaner, more versatile. I fear it lacks character in comparison to the original one, which might be noisier but is apparently a classic (which I guess means there's a special character to it).
what does watmm think?

I'm not sure why everyone takes the 30,000$ goal as reference as there's this bit in the description where it says the first possibility for getting a piece of land is at 3000$? At this point 3000$ still looks like a challenge though.
honestly I don't know what to think about this project, I didn't get the point I think. Maybe I will, kind of curious how it'll turn out

#1 dudes.
Congratulations, you are now officially the winner of IDM

oh, the fade out got my brain un-dance and that was unpleasant. is it there because of imminent release?
