pressing vinyl

looking into the possibility of pressing an album on vinyl. i think some people here have had experience with this. any stories/recommendations etc welcome. i'm going into this assuming it will be a money losing venture.

yeah i’m assuming i’d get the tracks mastered appropriately. more just wondering about quality small-batch pressing plants

Hehe ... reminds me of the story of Bad Religion's first single - they had money to press singles but not to do mastering. So as a result their first single was unplayable.

yeah good question. i mean 50 would be good. i really have to idea what the expectations are. I'm kind of assuming the lower the run, i'm probably going to be dealing with a less quality company but that's all in my head.
