I want to build a program that could synch up 2 mp3s with the same bpm.

What would be the best/easiest way to do this?

can this be done in C Sound or Max/MSP?

Or would i have to learn .NET?

I guess i'd be easier to make this in Max because it has a visual interface, but why not just get Traktor 3? The bpm detection and sync features in 3 are actually really good (at least better than it used to be).

because Traktor doesn't auto-dj.

can Max/MSP programs be compiled as stand-alone executables?

Actually, can Flash do this? can flash analyze audio data from an audio file?

I think so. You might need certain things installed though, but in effect it works this way. I think you can let other people use them. Kind of like pluggo VSTs.
