playbynumbers Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 the only people who are chasing pavement into their adolescence are like pitchfork staffers, who openly admit it. pavement are literally the OPPOSITE of emo; you cannot be less emo. they're derided, by many, as a sort of incredibly overrated slacker band that can't write actual songs that people like because they want to seem hipsterish, or whatever, but this doesn't mean that the band isn't awesome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As much as I love this heat, they were one of a large number of bands in both the uk and the usa that gave birth to it. I agree, my generalization is just indicative of how much I love This Heat...
