Noise rock is something I'm slowly getting into. I LOVE Boredoms. They strike a good balance between crazy noise and actual musical structure. Same for what I've heard from Black Dice. ACP doesn't post much any more but I really like his stuff too (which reminds me.... I have to download that album of his...)

So Yeah... I can definitely get in the mood for stuff like this from time to time... like you say, a noisy project that has some melody :)

I'd like to see you guys do soemthing a little bit more interesting though, texturally in particular...

thanks! yeah, it was from our first jam, and like i said we plugged everything into the one unit which completely overloaded it, resulting in it not being clear who was playing what, even to us while we were playing it! so next time, it's gonna be separate amplifiers and separate reverb units, so it'll be a lot more clean.

Yay. Come to NZ and play with my surf band?

Have you heard an NZ band called King Loser? Similar vibes to this...

haven't heard of king loser, but when researching band names we found out about the low tides and the damned evangelist, both freakin' awesome nz surf style bands. (we were going to be named "the low tides" until we found out about the nz band)

a new zealand "tour" sounds great, if we can get the funds together, hehe!

Yeah we played with Damned Evangelist in February. Nice guys, but we blew them off stage :) They have a stand up drummer in a luchadore mask who is actually Mexican!

There's also Tapeman / The Tapemen and Surfin USSR (not sure if the latter are still active)

Also my band of course www.hollowgrinders.com

well it was literally just us for 10 years or so. the other bands are all pretty new. noise is big here too, so the combo would go down pretty good. specially in wellington
