seed Posted December 1, 2009 Author Share Posted December 1, 2009 seems quite reasonable to make a complete rework in any direction using a sample from early in the track .. given that the rest of it doesn't really go anywhere .. edit - not saying that in a rude way .. just matter of factly from a rmxrs perspective ... i could always d/l the zip though .. hah !! hoping that the submissions do just that, take the components that they want, but then rework in a completely different and unexpected direction. you could take just the stab, or the juno, or a beat, or whatever. we're certainly not going to just release a CD full of ravey breaks and nothing else. if you listen to the Posthuman back catalogue, you'll see we're not really interested in staying within defined genres. even though that would probably make it easier to define & market, and we probably would have actually made some actual money sometime in the last ten years. also doesn't help with live bookings, when promoters aren't sure what you're going to sound like :-) inconsistency is certainly not a recipe for financial success, but i think its more rewarding personally Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
