Guest naos Posted January 13, 2010 Share Posted January 13, 2010 I think religions have played an imortant role in solving big problems in past such as drug abuse, excessive animal sacrifice and spreading of various types of diseases. In a way, today's doctors and scientists are using the same methods of reassuring people as their ancient equivalents(shamans and priests). They often neglect data that doesn't fit in their theory/diagnosis. Today we have more tools that add certain wheight to our prediction, but most of the stuff we predict is still far from being objectively true.
