The MKS80 gets a lot of use, in fact ever since I got it I've almost completely stopped using the Korg Polysix. The strings in this are all MKS80: http://soundcloud.com/splitradix/acid-reply

I've never used a Jupiter 8 or 6, but the general consensus amongst nerds is that the REV4 MKS80 sounds closer to the Jupiter 6, as they share the same VCOs and VCAs. Here's a handy chart:

Yeah I played a jupiter 6 this past weekend, and it was a world away from the mks-50, and I was thinking it sounded more like the mks-80 demos i've heard than jupiter 8.
